Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing. Wonderful stay!
Favourite place I've stayed in over two weeks in Georgia. Beautiful family, Gvantsa and Iason very helpful with recommendations and spoke great English, their mother was very friendly and made an amazing, huge breakfast with all homemade produce and views of Usba and surrounding mountains were incredible. Didn't want to leave!

SlovakiaThe only minus would be the double bed mattress, it deserves a replacement as it is a bit bent.
Iason was a great help and his mother is probably one of the best cook in Svaneti, absolutely worth eating there every evening, local products and mastered recipes. The location and the views all over the valley are great. Calm area with farm and village noises. Good price for value, definitely recommended.

CanadaIt was all good.
A modest home in the beautiful countryside run by a kind, friendly family. I had a big private room with 2 beds and lots of warm blankets. Coffee and tea were available for free all the time. I stayed 2 days and the food was different each evening and morning. Lots of hot water in the bathroom. Great food. For this price, you can't lose.

United KingdomA small minus is that the bath is a wet bath (Asian style) but it was not a huge problem taking in consideration that you are in a village in the middle of the Upper Svaneti with great views to Mount Ushba.
Iason Guest House is run by a nice family. There is plenty of space to park if you are coming with your own car. If you come by bus from Kutaisi, you can ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection to Mazeri and from there you can ask the property to pick you up for a fee, or walk to the village. The breakfast is included in the price which is always a plus when you do hiking. You can order dinner for a fee of 30 GEL.

RussiaIf you want to enjoy real country life, views and home cooked cuisine, stay at Iason guest house! The accommodation is very comfortable, good beds, new linens, good hot water pressure, very quiet and clean. From the courtyard there are gorgeous views of Ushba and Shkhara, you can admire the mountains right from the courtyard. In the village of Mazeri there are excellent hiking trails and the great trekking to the waterfalls. If you like, the owners on their horses organize horseback riding. We did it, and it was amazing. And, of course, many thanks to the hosts - Zurab and Narina, as well as the whole wonderful family - Gvantsa, Keti and Iason and little Anastasia - for their hospitality, communication, help and sincere friendliness! We were very comfortable and pleasant and definitely come again.

United StatesWhile at the property, I was asked to give up half of my room I booked to accommodate another hiker. I did so to be kind but no discount was given while they charged both of us a full rate. In addition, I noticed I was given a different meal than the other guests (lacking dishes in comparison). We all paid the same for dinner and breakfast.
The location is good for hiking the TCT and the ratio of rooms to bathrooms are good. The facility is clean and the yard is nice to relax in after a days hike.

United KingdomLocation was good as it was near the start of the waterfall trail and the Etseri trail. The staff were really lovely (especially the Georgian ski champ!). Food was good. We are vegan and had lots of bread, potato, salad and buckwheat. The hot shower was great. Don't expect a 5* hotel, you are in a small Georgian village. Thank you for our stay.
