How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe were definitely happy about our stay. The room was nice, clean and spacious. The hotel is not directly close to the touristic city centre, however I would say that it's even for the better, because the neighbourhood was pretty quiet, there was no problem with finding a parking space by the street and the taxi transport to the hotel was very cheap. Breakfasts were okay. Overall no complaints.

Verified reviewThe hotel is in a very good location, close to everything we needed, which made it easy to explore the area. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any request. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and it really made our stay enjoyable. Overall, a comfortable place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to others.
The only thing I would suggest is improving the bed facilities, such as the pillows and mattress, to make the stay even more comfortable.

Verified reviewIf you take a room with the balcony, the windows are large and you'll get a nice view of the Holy Trinity Cathedral and of the city, though it is not perfect because of a visible electric line and some trees. During the day, it can get a bit loud when some cars drive by the hotel when sitting out on the balcony, but the sound proofing is good inside the room and you hardly hear the cargo train that passes by occasionally. The room's door doesn't have sound proofing, so you might hear guests in the stairway if they are loud, but we didn't have that problem at all. The breakfast was a small buffet that changes a bit every day. It was really good. Vegetarians will also not have a problem with the selection. The location of the hotel is a bit outside of the busy part of the city and could be something you prefer. Getting around with Bolt was no problem at all and the drive to the old town takes just about a 10 minutes and costs about 1.50–2€. The staff was very friendly and you can also request a small lunch box in the morning if you are about to take one of the many long day trips in Tbilisi.
We didn't request Housekeeping very often, but they could sweep the floor whenever we do. Light sleepers might find the air-conditioning to be a bit loud.

Verified reviewThe maid was the most helpful person in the whole hotel - if we had any questions or needed anything, she was the only one who actually helped. And although the rooms were not as nice and newly renovated as in the pictures, the rooms are clean and tidy! The price is reasonable for what you get.
The people working in this hotel are not very hospitable - they never smile, don't greet the guests when they see them, and are generally not very helpful. I asked for 3 days for an iron and in the end, I had to find it myself within the other guests. The rooms are ok but not really as nice as in the pictures - I paid for a room with a balcony and a view, but I got the first floor, so the view was not that great, it would have been nicer on the higher levels. The AC in this hotel is also not really working - in some rooms it's working too strongly and there is no blanket, while in other rooms it is not working at all. The breakfast is not very varied - the same every day, little choice of things to eat, and very very green fruits that are not ripe. They also only offer filtered coffee for breakfast, any other coffee you have to pay for it. And there is no tea for breakfast.

Verified reviewThe room was very clean, especially the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. The airconditioning works very well. The location was also quite convenient, as it is a 30 minute walk to the city center, and under 10 minutes by car. The 24/7 reception is also a big plus.
The twin room is quite small and there is no seating options, just the beds and a small bench. And a reading or night light next to the beds would have been nice but were missing. Besides that there was not much to complain about.

Verified reviewI’ve stayed here for three days. The staff are quite friendly, the room is generally clean, and the view is pretty good.
The soundproofing of the room is really poor. Early in the morning, the cleaning staff woke me up while working, and it felt like there was no sound insulation at all. The elevator made strange noises right outside the door, the air conditioner was noisy and didn’t cool well, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and the bed sheets were not very comfortable. During my entire three-day stay, I wasn’t able to sleep well at all.

Verified reviewOur stay at Ivy Hotel in Tbilisi was absolutely delightful. The rooms were spotless, extremely comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with cozy beds and plenty of natural light with a huge balcony. The location was perfect — tucked away enough to be peaceful but still within easy walking distance of Tbilisi’s main attractions, cafés, and restaurants. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with recommendations for places to visit and eat. We especially appreciated the welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. If you’re visiting Tbilisi, Ivy Hotel is a wonderful choice — a blend of comfort, style, and genuine Georgian hospitality. We would gladly stay here again.
