Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ChinaVery warm welcome from the host, and they’re very helpful. Tried to contact me before we came. Tamuna is super cool! She’s such a sweet and kind person who’s always energetic.
It’s lovely, cozy and clean! With a good quality restaurant. We can see the snow mountains from our rooms.

United StatesOur stay at Lanchvali Inn was absolutely unforgettable! The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Tamara, the incredible owner. She is one of the most attentive, caring, and passionate hosts we’ve ever met. Tamara truly treats every guest like her best friend or a member of her own family. She helped us with absolutely everything – bringing us fresh fruits, offering sunscreen when we forgot ours, and even giving my son a sun hat so he could explore comfortably. The inn itself is perfectly located on a hill, giving breathtaking views of Mestia, the ancient towers, and the surrounding mountains. Every morning we woke up to that magical view and felt so grateful to be here. The rooms are spotless, cozy, and comfortable, and the entire place has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. And then there’s the restaurant – without a doubt the best food we had in Svaneti! Every dish was prepared with love, full of flavor, and served in generous portions. You can truly taste the passion Tamara and her team put into every meal. If you’re coming to Mestia, do yourself a favor and stay here. Between the stunning location, the amazing food, and Tamara’s unmatched hospitality, this is not just a hotel – it’s a home away from home. We will definitely be back!

GeorgiaI absolutely loved my stay here! The room was perfectly clean, the beds incredibly comfortable, and everything looked exactly like in the photos. The hotel’s location is perfect – the view from it is simply breathtaking. In the hotel's restaurant I had the best ojakhuri of my life – it was absolutely delicious. And the hostess, Tamara, is the warmest and most hospitable person I have ever met, a true embodiment of Georgian hospitality. She even gave us a free tour of a Svan tower, told us about local life and traditions, treated us to homemade wine, met us with a car at the station when we arrived, and walked us back there when we left. Simply a wonderful hostess and an exceptional hotel – if I ever come back to Mestia, I will stay here again for sure!

Their guesthouse is modern, cosy and offers an amazing view on the ancient towers and mountains. Their joint restaurant surprised us with a local savoury breakfast on a splendid terrace. RussiaGeorgia is the best country in the world. Svaneti is the best region of Georgia. Mestia is the best city of Svaneti. This hotel is the best in Mestia. ---> Therefore, this hotel is the best in the world 😁 We traveled there in winter, and our room was perfectly warm. Now planning to visit at least once more in the summer. The hosts are incredibly helpful, hospitable, and kind.

GeorgiaThis is a truly brilliant hotel—comfortable, warm and impeccably clean. The view is absolutely stunning, as the hotel is located on top of a hill. The interior is crafted with high-quality materials, giving it the ambiance of a premium hotel. The area is peaceful and quiet. The hotel owners, Ruslan and Tamuna, are incredible—kind, hospitable, and truly welcoming. They greeted us with wine, snacks, and fruit, which was such a thoughtful touch. You can even ask Tamuna to prepare breakfast—she insists on not accepting payment, so leaving a generous tip at the end of your stay is the best way to show your appreciation. The road leading to the hotel is an adventure in itself, especially in winter. It has a life of its own—every day, someone would get stuck on the steep slope. Driving to the hotel during winter can be quite challenging—the incline is very steep and nearly impossible to navigate by car. I tried driving up once in my Subaru Forester on an icy road, and it was a nerve-wracking experience. After that, I decided to park my car at the bottom of the hill and walk up and down daily. The climb (about 10 minutes) was a great workout and added a fun element to the experience. If you enjoy hiking, you’ll find this aspect delightful. Despite the challenging road, the hotel is absolutely worth it. Ruslan helped us transport our luggage to and from the hotel in his SUV and can also drive you and your gear to Tetnuldi or Hatsvali if needed. If you have any questions or need assistance, Ruslan and Tamuna are always there to help. Staying at this hotel feels like visiting close friends. It’s a place I would happily return to again and again. Truly a hidden gem of Mestia.

AustraliaNothing. It was 10/10!
We loved our stay at Lanchvali Inn. It was a new, lovingly built property that was super cosy and comfortable. Everything was perfect. Our host was an absolute gem, she clearly puts a lot of her heart and energy into making the Inn what it is. As a bonus, the ‘museum’ and tower were incredibly unique and special and the restaurant next door was delicious, well priced and had a beautiful view. I will continue recommending this place to friends and family for years to come!

ItalyWe know it is a tradition that in these countries, the shower is not fully separted from the rest of the bathroom... Still we are not very used to it. Maybe in future it will change, as some already have.
The house is located in nature... Though difficult to drive above, it is somewhat the beauty of not being in the crowded town. The owner Tamuna is very friendly and nice. The communication is very efficient. We enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful place, nice views. Friendly host. It has a cool little museum of an old svaneti clan house with tower. If you have no car, it is a bit of a climb from the center.

United StatesThe road is a bit tricky to navigate but even then, they provide you with a ride up, or the option to caravan up to the house.
From the moment we got here we felt like part of the family. Hosts go beyond to provide services and ensure you have all you need. All facilities and services were as they said they would be. I would recommend anyone to stay here !!
