How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA special place, run by two sisters. They only speak Georgian and Russian, but it's easy enough to communicate with them nevertheless. It is quiet and the food is delicious.

Verified reviewThis place is really authentic, you don’t feel like staying at a hotel but at a real georgian house. The ladies were really nice, although they didn’t speak English, they always tried to help, and were generous. We felt welcome. The location is perfect.
I am writing this review after having spent nights at different guesthouses in Svanetii region. At first, we felt like it was a nice and cheap stay and we hadn’t expected much. We thought that no heating in the room was something normal here. However, now that we can compare, we must admit, that this place is quite expensive for what it offers, or better expressed - doesn’t offer. The bathroom is shared, that wouldn’t be a problem, but for the same price in other villages you get a room with private bathroom. The rooms are small and cold, there is no heating. There are wardrobes in the rooms but they are full of some useless stuff. The ladies prepared for us a really tasty dinner and the price was 40 GEL for person. There was a lot of food but mostly bread. At other places you can have dinner for 30 or 35 GEL and you get also meat and some vegetables. The breakfast was good, bread and eggs, I loved that the ladies invited us to take some bread or something from the breakfast with us on our trip.

Verified reviewGreat location! If you coming to the area for tracking or a countryside vacation - it is the best option: a lot of tracks around: waterfall, trips around Ushba, a trail to Mestia, and upper to Ushguli. With this, you will be in a cozy, quiet, and authentic village away, but not far, 5 minutes driving, from the main roads with high tourist traffic. The host suggests great breakfasts and dinners with Svanetial local cuisine. Very tasty. And fantastic views around!

Verified reviewThere are kind and helpful hosts. The dinner and the breakfast were very tasty and delicious. Many of the raw materials for the food (incl. milk and cheese) are grown and produced by the family. The room had a good view and was comfortable enough.
There was one toilet and shower room for all rooms, but we (with other guests) didn't have a long queue because of that.

Verified reviewAs you might guess from the price, this is no 5-star hotel. If you are looking for luxury, there are other options in Mazeri that might suit you better. Instead, with Mila you will find a family that will welcome you to their home. They will give you plentiful and delicious breakfasts, filling both your bellies and your hearts. We had a bed, and access to a clean toilet which was all we needed. Their beautiful garden full of apple trees was a big plus. We already miss Mila and her family, we had a great stay with them.

Verified reviewThe garden is excellent to relax in. Perfect for what I wanted at the end of a bike trip. Also, Levan was very helpful and provided me with some oil for my bike chain which was in desperate need. The dog is very cute and it's lovely to watch the cows come home in the evening. Overall I think it's pretty good value for a guesthouse in Svaneti.
The signage for the entrance is a bit vague. You can enter from the main road, it just looks like a locked gate.

Verified reviewThe ladies was very friendly. Some didn't speak english so we were happy there were other russian speaking tourists to help translate. We were leaving early and she prepared the most amazing pancakes ever for us that night. So we could take it with us. Very kind of them!! Thank you!
Flies in the room, only one outlet, no trashcan, no parking, cold, only one toilet for the whole house. It was a nice stay and maybe enough for the price but still, we payed more then in other places for a lot more comfort.

Verified revieweverything is great, good hosts and wonderful atmosphere
there is no kitchen where you can cook. Dinner in a guesthouse costs 40 GEL, which is comparable to food in a restaurant in the center of Tbilisi. However, you cannot order a small portion. You either pay 40 lari or go hungry
