The homestay is brand new. The owners are super friendly and helpful and the food was very tasty. Highly recommended

The blankets available were much too warm.

    Property response:

Sorry if we ruin your stay one way or another. We always try our best but yeh, sometimes blankets are too warm, air is too pure to breathe and rooms are too clean to sleep in 😄✌️

Everything was perfect: the location, the food, the staff and the room. Could have sit on the balcony and enjoy the view for much longer. Would love to come back at some point! Thanks!

Coming to omalo was the closest i‘ve been to visiting the shire. So vibrant, kids playing on the hills, guests an locals strolling around, having bonfires, the old towers standing proud on top of the village, free roaming horses and cows with no fences, stunning starry sky - ir blew our mind. The host family is extremely nice and the food was fantastic.

First I didn't notice the meals were vegetarian, and I am a meat lover. But both dinner and breakfast were exceptionally delicious! The room was great, the owner very polite and helping. And the balcony you eat at with the view on the village- stunning!

    Nothing

    Property response:

Hiii Vladimir, glad you liked our food and atmosphere. Indeed we mention on booking pictures that we don't cook meat at our place, we also mention it on our instagram and google maps as well as at the entrance of our property:) Thank you for your clear feedback, would love to hear what should be improve to go from 9/10 to 10/10? Thank you again:)

This place is very likely to be the best place you will find in all of Omalo. We planned to stay 1 night and extended to 3 (would’ve been 4 but it was fully booked). One night in another homestay made it clear that Levan and the family have a spectacular setup. Their home has everything you need (clean, comfy rooms, hot water, all the standard things in order), but something else is special. Extravagant breakfast (even pancakes!) and dinners cooked by the mother and sister, and served on the porch every morning with the ever-stunning views of the mountains. Most evenings Levan starts a bonfire and guests gather for a cozy night under the starry sky! Here Levan is subjected to all types of questions, and has as a result become known as the Google of Tusheti. Do ask him to tell how he met and befriended a local mountain bear! 🐻 We were, unfortunately, not there long enough to meet it!

This amazing homestay is located in upper Omalo, in view of the old fortifications. It's family owned and run and you can feel the attention and care they put into every aspect of your stay. The rooms are great! Spacious, clean, great showers with hot water and reliable solar electricity 🔌 . The views🏔️ are stunning and the ambience very relaxed. You can also get breakfast and dinner and they are a set menu with ample food even for before or after a full day hike. The menu gets varied every day and the dishes are amazing throughout. You can even ask for a lunch 🌯 pack if you need something for the journey. The peak of the experience was however the helpfulness of Levan, who helped us organise horse treks, transport, back, and even lent me his personal hat for a whole day trip. He is an aspiring local architect and can share insightful takes on local bridges and roads. However, if you really want to have a great conversation with him - bring up football ⚽. He is a huge fan of any kind of sport that involves balls.

The guesthouse is owned by a lovely Georgian family who are from the Caucasus area. They all make sure you feel welcome and take care of all your needs, whether it is a lunch package before your hike or a beer after. Levan, the son, speaks perfect English and told us everything there is to know about the region. On top of that: - amazing food - comfortable rooms - beautiful view - nice relaxing area - clean bathrooms - hot shower - starlink WiFi - campfire in the evening with chacha tasting

The only negative point I can think of is that I gave my phone number to Levan, the handsome Georgian son of the family, but he hasn’t texted me afterwards.

Wonderful place. Levan is very lovely, competent, helpful and funny host. He cares about every single guest so everyone feels good and welcome there. Advantages: + very comfortable bed + delicious vegetarian meals + warm water in the shower (but not in the morning) + beautiful common space for breakfasts and dinners + little cat playin and runnin around the guesthouse all the time + bonfire at the evening + lovely caucasian local doggo asking for scratches

Disadvantages: - the owner doesn't know the exact weight of the local dog

    Property response:

We gonna measure weights of all dogs this summer with USAID program 😁

We were surprised how tasty and filling were vegetarian meals. Amazing view on the village and on the ruins. Hot water every morning and evening for making tea/coffee. Tea, coffee and sugar provided. Drinkable tap water. Good Wi-Fi. Comfy beds.

The breakfast was very rich (vegetarian) and big enough to spend whole day on hiking and come back for dinner. The host (Levan) was very helpful in all situations, knowledgable and multilingual.

Wonderful place and even more amazing hosts, always helpful and kind. I have been to other guest houses and I can definitely say that these are the best. Only here I want to come back. Special thanks for the warm water in the shower. You will also have the most beautiful view of the castle and the village here.

This homestay is really brilliant. It’s by far the best in Omalo. Levan and his family are welcoming from the moment you arrive. The home stay is situated with a beautiful view of the mountains. Beds are really comfy, the place is clean, well decorated, they help you with booking anything from rides to activities. Breakfast is delicious!
