Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Austrianothing, couldnt pet the cat enough before leaving :(
After a day in the national park we decided to come back to Mtirala House. The breakfast was amazing and really big. My husband and I usually eat a lot but this time we couldnt eat all (unfortunately) In the evening we had dinner, for a reasonable price. All in all we are more than happy with our choice.

IsraelHot water requires to turn on the boiler, which takes quite a while to heat. It would be great if the boiler would be turned on prior guests arrival.
The apartment is very cosy and appears to be new. It is located uphill and is pretty isolated with a great view. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming - they live just next door, and are always available. They will be glad to cook you delicious, home made dinner & breakfast at a very affordable price.

SlovakiaWhen we arrived, we couldn’t believe the incredible hospitality we would receive. After nearly 10 days in Georgia, we can confidently say that Mamila and his wife’s food was levels above everything else, fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were the cleanest and newest, and we truly felt pampered. Even in the morning, the host went out of his way to drop us at the bus stop. It was perfect ❤️❤️

Food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner there. Big portions. It was a peaceful and quiet place.

IsraelNot a bad thing, but need to take into account that the road to the house is a bit hard (up hil climb with not fully asphalt road) and far for taxis from Batumi.
Very kind owner, and beautiful place and view.

United Arab EmiratesThere are no grocery stores nearby, but that's to be expected. Don't forget that you're in a village, so you might want to buy some things and groceries in advance.
I had a great time at Mtirala House. The views are simply breathtaking. There is a gorgeous fruit garden on the slope around the house, the owners treated me to oranges and grapefruits. The hosts are welcoming and warm, the breakfasts are homemade and delicious, made from natural products. However, I have never been able to finish them completely, as the portions are really big. Mtirala National Park is 6-8 km away. I would also like to thank the owners for giving me a ride back to Batumi.

NetherlandsWe stayed for two nights in this nice apartment. It was much bigger than we expected. We had a big living room and a huge two persons bed which was standing next to a large window. A perfect way to wake up, you don't get bored of the view. The hosts were all very kind. They helped us to clean some inserts out of the room. Also they gave us some grapefruits and lemons from their own garden.

GeorgiaWe were stunned as soon as we arrived. The surrounding nature is stunning with it's beauty and especially land of Mamyia and Madonna: big river at mountain foot, huge gardens of citruses, big bushes of hortensia flowers, different kinds of fruit trees. Before the gates there is a small source of clean water to gather fresh water and to refreshen oneself. One can have a day-trip to the Mrtirala National park with stunning views on the road of wild riverbed, trees. And finally waterfall. It takes the whole day. Or catch a bus from Khala to National park. Hospitality of Mamyia and Madonna is outstanding. We were welcomed with incredible dinner including lots of homemade cheese, wine, chacha... Breakfasts were unbelievably tasty and filling. It is really worth the cost to pay extra for breakfast and dinner! Madonna is really great communicator to handle necessary questions. Their family also has a car rental so make sure you check it out. I really recommend the separate building from the main house. It has a stunning view, incredible interior with smell of fresh wood. Staying there I had a feeling of belonging to a family that lives a countryside life of simplicity. Madonna and Mamyia made sure we could rest well. Only thing need planning is the accessibility, you can take a maršutka from Batumi to Mrtirala national park and exit from Khala to reach guest house. Plan it ahead.

Czech RepublicTo get from our room to bathroom (which wasn’t the cleanest) we had to cross through owners kitchen. As I understood the bigger rooms have own bathrooms. This however didn’t spoil the experience.
