Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWithout a doubt, the best guesthouse in Mestia!!! The location is devine, it's so close to the city centre but right on the river with a beautiful garden to relax in. The hiking trails are close, the chairlift is close, and the city centre is close. The guesthouse is very clean, the kitchen is great to cook simple meals, the view is amazing. The hosts are so lovely and do all they can to be helpful. I would have loved to stay so much longer!

United StatesI was pretty happy with everything🙂
The location was perfect. The bus station was 5 minutes walk away. Shopping for virtually everything you might need is easy walking distance. Many cafes, resturants, bars are close by. I loved the sound of the river-- the perfect "sleep aid". Best of all, Ineza is a wonderful host, the one could ask for.

AustraliaThe rooms are not large, and the toilet is shared, but it is kept very clean and the wifi is also excellent.
I loved staying here - the guesthouse is in such a great location, only 200m from the bus stop and centre of Mestia, but overlooking a beautiful green garden, the river and the mountains. It is very quiet and peaceful, and the lady who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming, bringing gifts of fresh cake and homemade yoghurt. You are also welcome to leave bags here for collecting after completing the walk to Ushguli.

The landlady is very kind. Although we don't speak the same language, I can clearly feel her kindness and friendliness. She even helped me carry my luggage, which was really heavy. I'm very grateful. The room is cozy and warm, and very clean and tidy. Every night I fall asleep to the sound of flowing water, and every morning I'm woken up by the gentle sunlight. It's just like being in a dream. Because I was going hiking, I left my luggage at her place for about four days, completely free of charge. She even carried it to the door for me. When I left, she hugged and kissed me. I really felt full of love and joy. If I come again next time, I will definitely stay here! I love this place!

SingaporeI wish I had more time in Mestia.
Everything is so nice here. The hostess lady is super friendly and helpful. The room has good lighting and view. Clean and fully equipped with hot water and even a hair dryer. Location wise, it is near the start of the trail head to Ushguli and minutes walk to town center. I was allowed to deposit some luggage here before hiking to Ushguli and it's definitely helping for saving some energy. It has a nice garden next to the river and you can dry your clothes there with natural sunlight, and cook some meals in the kitchenette is also possible.

GermanyThe shared bathroom can lead to a bit of waiting time when all rooms are being booked but that’s just a minor issue.
The location is directly in town. The owner was so kind to take care of our washing after finishing the mestia to Ushguli hike. There is a kitchen for communal use and a seating area in the garden.

RussiaThe place had everything i needed during my stay, the room was quiet, bed comfy, nice view of the mountains and a garden to eat outside when it’s warm. Guesthouse was easy to find, it’s located just before the bridge where the Mestia to Ushguli trek starts. Ineza, the hostess, shows a good example of local hospitality. She also makes tasty homegrown food on demand, and her husband offers trips in his offroad car. We took a ride to Koruldi Lakes and can recommend. Overall very very nice, would love to come again

Israelour experience with Ineza was exeptional - it’s not our first time in Mestia and so far this is our favorite place to stay. it’s located two minutes walk from the bus station square, and just before you reach the river, you find a sign “old town guesthouse” on the left. the house is very decently renovated, with a touch of local “know-how”. the rooms are accurately painted, clean and warm. also nicest linens ever. there is a kitchen (two of them) with basic appliances, fridge, hot water, everything is new and clean. you can even make barbecue. we spent the rainy days in here and had a good time. there is a big apple tree in the garden (we’ve eaten lots during our stay) and a spacious lawn for tents. some thirty meters below there is a rowdy river (no you can’t descend there). now to the host. Ineza is an exceptionally kind woman. she befriended us during our stay, and even brought some milk from her cow(s) and cheese she made herself. When walking the Mestia to Ushguli trek, she agreed to keep some of our stuff for us until we come back (with no charge). oh and i didn’t mention the price - it was the lowest around and has beaten our expectations by far. so yeah i definitely recommend staying here, if it wasn’t obvious already. Enjoy your stay everyone

NorwayThe room was so little that it was not possible to go to the window or reach the second bed without stepping over the first Also the toilet downstairs needed to be refilled with the shower to get water to flush, and the shower in my room gave so little water that I needed to find another one to take a shower

IsraelThis was the first place that did not accept our request to cancel. Their beds were the least comfortable we slept on. The room was the tiniest we had on this trip. We were moved to a different room because the toilette made annoying sounds 24/7. The room we moved to barely blocked any light from the outside (the room next to it was dark enough at least). We stayed for a few nights somewhere 10-15 minutes walk from there and payed 13 laris more, which was well worth it.
