How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is excellent, right in the heart of Piazza Square, which makes it very lively and enjoyable both during the day and at night. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Staff were friendly and helpful.
One disappointing point was the courtyard policy: even as a hotel guest, I was told I could only sit at a table if I ordered a minimum of 50₾. This felt unreasonable and unnecessary, especially since I was staying at the hotel.

Verified reviewLocation was ideal, which I already knew as I've picked Piazza Four Colours during my previous visit to Batumi. Breakfast was healthy, delicious, and served with care. Our special thanks to the young staff! <3 Although meals didn't change during the whole week, we enjoyed a healthy mono diet. I've read how some travellers complained about this, but we absolutely loved the fresh and healthy ingredients and dishes they offered. The rooms were undoubtedly perfect and fulfilled our expectations. Special thanks to the manager who gave us the front view room, so we could enjoy amazing live concerts each night straight from our balcony <3 As the rooms are quite soundproof, it never bothered us to sleep early if needed. The air conditioning system was perfect, which was vital for me and my family members. We can't wait to get back next year, fingers crossed. The beach is within walking distance, and there is our fav Georgian convenience shop branch "Nikora" on the ground floor with a lovely English-speaking staff 24/7 – If you could say "didi madloba" in the end, that would be nice each time.
On our first morning, the staff member from La Brioche shamelessly lied to us when we asked where we were supposed to have our free breakfast, as we were eligible to since we lived at the hotel; only after we were done eating, she requested we pay for the breakfast. I double checked with her before we started breakfast, so there was no misunderstanding from her side. Beware that the free breakfast is right in the clock tower above La Brioche cafe, not in the courtyard outside! Also, the free breakfast is the same as the menu meals at La Brioche, where the most desirable dishes are constantly missing early in the morning, and Mimino restaurant next to this cafe is a far better choice to dine if you don't want to go to some other place in Batumi (doing which I would strongly recommend). Also, stray dogs roam around 24/7 on the territory unless you are up to petting them. I must thank the cleaning staff, as the ladies were extremely friendly and nice to communicate with. However, the cleaning schedule is poorly managed, and this was a problem several times when the rooms were not ready past 5 pm, when we needed to take a shower after a long day at the beach to go out for dinner on time. But I specify that it's the menegarial weakness, the ladies were extremely eager to fulfil their duties. A big 'thank you' to them from my family, we definitely cannot wait to see them again <3

Verified reviewOnly The location of the hotel.
The reaction people are not so nice and not so helping, I ask for more blancet for my child and they ask me why you need.. you have enough. The food is the same every day!! The guys at the breakfast not smiling and act like they doing fever To add more food that finish , they don't have ice so you can drink cold drinks. The bread is dry and not teisty, old bread. This isn't 4 stars hotel reiting, it's myby 3 stars hotel. They need to improve imadiatly the hospitality of the hotel and the breakfast. In our first day their was a bad smell from the bathroom, I buy from the market below cleaning economika to remove the bad smell.

Verified reviewThis is a heart of Batumi. It is impossible to stay more central than this. Beautiful Piazza, all sightseeing spots walking distance, sea 6 minutes away, beach 13 minutes away by walk. Live music in the evenings. Very grateful for great reception team, helping very smoothly to make checkin fast also for opportunity to have little earlier breakfast before flight.
Not their problem, but all Batumi old town problem, no place for parking or proper place to drop/pick people.

Verified reviewLocation was GREAT! It was convenient and easy to find and remember. There was a drunk person walking talking on the hallway after midnight. I would have called the front desk he kept it a little bit longer but it was not beyond my patience. The room was small but it meant everything was in reach, had everything I needed, and it was good enough. I have stayed more than 10 places in Georgia and this place sits on the top of them. Breakfast was good, except for a boy who took 2 pieces of bread with his hand and put them back to the basket. of course I talked to his family.
The sign of the hotel inside the piazza could be better. It was easy to find, but didn't fit its atomosphere.
