How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAwesome Guesthouse. My second time staying there. First of all it's like a museum! The owner collects and builds all sorts of nice cool things and they are on the show all over the house. One can spend half the day just going around observing them. Hosts are super nice, helpful and responsive. Room was specious and clean with a big comfy bed. There were a kettle, fridge and tea/coffee in a shared area. Breakfast is diverse and tasty. Served on the terrace on the 2nd floor with the great view to Telavi and Valley. Definitely recommend!

Verified reviewStaying at Qilimcha’s guesthouse was one of the best decisions we made during our trip in Georgia. Nino and her husband (and lovely dog Emmy) were simply wonderful, made incredible breakfast and were helpful in every way. We asked if we could sleep at the roof terrace quite late in the day, but this was no problem for them. I have nothing bad to say about our stay, it was simply amazing! Nino and all, thank you so much for hosting us, and we’ll definitely come back!!

Verified reviewIf you look for something different from the standard hotel experience, this is the place you should visit. Run by Nino and Gocha, who are incredibly hospitable. They will take care of you, help, and answer all your questions. The house and garden themselves are exhibitions of Gochas innovations and decorations. It is great fun to discover new things all the time. The place is very clean. Rooms are big, and there is a lot of space where you can spend time and relax. We have even been invited for a late dinner and to watch the Olympic Games. They also have a small swimming pool for the kids in the garden. I recommend it, especially for families. The kids will have a lot of fun. The location is a little bit outside of Telawi Center.

Verified reviewA quirky masterpiece of a guest house, with bits of art made of a delightful array of recycled objects everywhere one looks, with a spacious, shady garden with a reasonable walk from Telavi’s historic centre, our group stay at Qilimcha was absolutely lovely. The owners were generous and most helpful—and the building’s rooms were both comfortable and such fun to be in. You will never forget your stay here—and you may well come away inspired to head to a workshop yourself!
Nothing.

Verified reviewTotally unique place , a traditional house decorated by the owners in a funky original style . Nino and her husband were so welcoming and helpful. They gave great advice about local restaurants . You can also book breakfasts with them , incredible homemade food served on their upper terrace overlooking the Caucasus mountains in the distance . Great location 13 minutes walk from the centre of town in a quiet residential area . The house has been in the same family since the 60s - with the trees and slight night breeze you sleep SO WELL , even without AC , ( which is available if needed) . It felt like we were in the heart of this warm family you make you feel relaxed

Verified reviewI spent a really good time in Qilimcha's Guest House. As a solo traveller, I found this place really cosy, original and perfect to end my travel. Nino and her family will welcome you in the kindest way, and you will feel comfortable very quickly. The area is quiet and not so for from the city centre (Telavi is a small and charming city) . :)

Verified reviewThis family-run guesthouse on the outskirts of Telavi is a true hidden gem. The location is quiet and convenient, with plenty of parking and just a short walk to a nice restaurant and stores. Telavi makes a great base for exploring the lovely Alazani Valley region. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and full of artistic touches. We stayed in two comfortable rooms sharing a kitchenette and living space. The surroundings were wonderful and everything was spotless. Hosts Nino and Gocha are exceptional - warm, welcoming, and wonderfully hospitable in the best Georgian tradition. Nino makes some of the best breakfasts in Georgia and Gocha amazingly kept our six kids entertained. They know the area perfectly and give excellent recommendations on wineries, churches, and sights. This was one of the best guesthouses we stayed at in Georgia. The combination of a convenient location, lovely facilities, and thoughtful hosts made it feel like home. For anyone looking to explore Telavi and the Alazani Valley, this hidden gem gets our highest recommendation. We can't wait to return!

Verified reviewGorgeous, uniquely decorated house and garden in peaceful neighbourhood, a really special atmosphere. Nino and Gocha were extremely welcoming and made us feel at home immediately, very chilled and great sense of humour. They arranged a visit for us to the local sites and wineries (Gvardelashvili), and we were lucky enough to coincide with a family bbq, it was idyllic, a highlight of our trip in Georgia.
