We only stayed one night, but the guesthouse had everything we needed. Conveniently located in Girevi for trekking in Tusheti!

A very cozy and comfortable guesthouse with a sweet hosts. It was a pleasent experience to stay at the place for one night. Breathtaking views, good food and kind people all around 🥰

Best experience in the whole Tusheti. The guesthouse itself is a work of art - the common areas and the bedrooms are very nicely decorated and every corner of the guesthouse is set with good artistic taste. The hosts are very warm, kind, good hearted and hospitable people. Mariam is not only a very beautiful tush girl, she is well educated, sensible and speaks English fluently. The bed is very comfy, warm duvet and soft blankets make you sleep like a baby. The views are top notch, you get amazing view over the mountains, star gazing night sky and the peaceful sound of the river. The food I had here is something out of this world - I will always remember the fluffy pancakes, fresh matsoni, local herbal tea, honey, adjabsandali salad, meat/chease hinchali, khaciapuri and other delicacies I tried at Shio's Stonehouse. I really recommend having breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse. The food is authentic, fresh and tasty. Also the price for the accommodation and food is reasonable. Hot drinks are free on the house. Good WiFi service, hot water in the shower, free soft towels, clean bathrooms. The location is perfect, the vibe is great, stunning views, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food is all you need before /after a long hike. Would really recommend staying here for my friends and for sure will stay here next time I visit Tusheti. Didi madloba Mariam and thank you and great respect to your auntie and uncle!

I liked absolutely everything!

Very polite and hospitable host (a family). They prepare delicious local food including herbal tea. The guest house is nice , it has a terrace, a dining room, a few apartments for guests. Bear in mind, this village is not electricified, however, you can still power up your devices and there was a warm water in the house. I would come back to this host. thank you!

Such a magical place! A lovely guesthouse with very warm, helpful and friendly hosts, a lovely terrace and hammock and tasty meals.

Shio is very nice and kind. He organised a great horse trip for us and is really good at cooking. :)

Our stay at Shios Stonehouse was amazing. The view from the big balcony and our doubleroom was even more stunning than on the pictures. Our room was cozy and clean. The shared bathroom was also clean. The food was very good and tasty. The host is very nice and helpful. The whole atmosphere of the place was very relaxed.

This guest house is run by a very welcoming host. Made us feel right at home. There is tea and coffee for whenever you want, and the food served is good. Perfect rest stop after/ before atsunta pass. They can also wash your clothes!

This is such a welcoming place and a great spot to relax after a day of hiking. The veranda is such a nice place to chill out. The hosts are wonderful and the food is fantastic.

We have hiked from Khevsureti to Tusheti via Atsunda pass. After two days in the tent, we arrived at Shio's Stonehouse. We had the most welcoming hosts, delicious food and comfy rooms and the environment in general. 100% recommended.

I didn’t actually stay here. It was recommended so I booked it from Dartlo, flicked on Airplane mode and hiked to Girevi. When I arrived the owner said sorry we are full. I’d missed a message during day. But she found me another Guest House in Girevi - which also rated well on Booking dot Com. So I’m rating Shio’s for their great customer service of sorting me out an alternate place to stay. It did look lovely by the way.

Amazing georgian hospitality, shio and the family served plenty of homeade dishes, food was delicious, bathroom and bedroom were clean. Deffinitely the best gesthouse we experienced! Thank you!
