Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaUnfortunately the pool was not yet open for the summer season and it did get very hot during our stay so that was a shame but really just unfortunate timing.
What a great find in the hills of Sighnagi! We came for 2 days but ended up staying longer. We had a simple room with real working fireplace (although it wasn't cold enough to use it). Comfortable bed, nice hot shower and access to the kitchen for food and drink storage and preparation. The view over the valley from the balcony and pool area is spectacular and its only a couple minutes walk from the famous fortress wall. But the real gem here was our host. One of the nicest, most generous hosts we've had the pleasure of meeting. He not only picked us up when we arrived but also offered to drive us into town whenever we needed. The property is just out from the main area of Sighnagi and the walk there, while only about 10 minutes, is quite hilly, as is all of Sighnagi, so this was really appreciated. If we did happen to walk into town and saw him at his family run store we were greeted as old friends and offered free drinks or ice cream. We were also given homemade wine and chacha which were delicious. A couple of suggestions would be to add a couple of armchairs or lounges on the huge balcony to really make the most of the view. Also some signage on the road leading in would make it easier to locate for those driving. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

PortugalDon't come here for the swimming pool because it'll be a gamble. The pool water was green and dirty when we arrived, the owner cleaned it later, but for us it was too late since the next few days were of rainy weather, so we couldn't use it anyway. We tried to catch some sun around the pool, but hornets and mosquitoes would fly constantly around us trying to sting us. There was also a hornet nest near the stairs that led to the rooms. I was stung several times, thankfully I'm not allergic... We could choose the room, but the first room was smelly and the rooms in the middle didn't seem to have air conditioning, so not really much choice anyway. The shower and the sink faucet would leave the floor all wet if you weren't careful while using them. I understand that for some people, this guesthouse might seem scary and unsafe, since the place is pretty much abandoned and looks like it's falling apart. Unfortunately, on the day we actually needed a car ride because of the rain, the owner didn't answer any of our messages and calls, so we had to walk all the way to the bus station (no taxis passed by us either). Later he said he was sorry and that he wasn't in Sighnaghi. Not for everyone, and if we knew what we were getting into, we'd have paid more to stay somewhere else.
We were the only guests during our 2 day stay, so we could choose any of the 4 rooms available. We chose the last room, which seemed to have no problems. The room was ok. The bed was a bit noisy, but the mattress was comfortable. The view is actually quite nice. As mentioned before, we were the only guests (people even) there, and we didn't have a problem with that because we could enjoy some peace and quiet. And it was quite a novelty to stay at an abandoned guesthouse anyway... The owner seemed like a nice person, even though he was absent most of the time, he offered to give us a lift to town if we needed, since this guesthouse is located outside of Sighnaghi.

United KingdomWe booked a room with air conditioning which was not provided and we had to leave the window open with very little to no privacy as other guests were staying at the property and also very little aeration due to the setup of the room. The room was extremely basic
The location is very central There is a large terrace Dalila was really responsive and helped us organise a taxi on our last day and went to look for us in the village to introduce herself in English as her father did not speak English- this was really nice

DenmarkThe place said it had air conditioning and wifi but it had none of that. The pool was so dirty that you couldn’t see your feet when swimming in it. Beds were small and uncomfortable. The place looked like a construction site and the walk to the city center was challenging. We booked two nights but this place was so horrible that we had to leave after the first night and find another place. Avoid this, you will find much better accommodation even for a better price!
Nice view from the balcony
