How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewMy trip to Mazeri was truly unforgettable, all thanks to this amazing guesthouse. The first thing that caught my eye was the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness. Both the rooms and the common areas were flawlessly clean, which is very pleasant. Besides the cleanliness, the authentic food was particularly impressive. Each dish was prepared with love, and we had the opportunity to taste real Svan flavors. It was a true culinary journey! A homey atmosphere prevails in the guesthouse. You will feel as if you are in your own home—everything here is comfortable and cozy. The hosts are not only hospitable but also very kind and attentive people. As for the location, it is simply unbeatable. An amazing view of Ushba stretches out directly from the yard, making waking up in the morning and watching the sunset magical moments. This is a place where the beauty of nature and human generosity come together. I definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone planning a trip to Mazeri. It is the best place to relax and get to know Svan culture.

Verified reviewThe guest house was great. The room was big, the beds were comfy, and everything was very clean and tidy. There was a small electric heater in the room, which was a lifesaver during cold and humid early mornings. Lia is very helpful and an AMAZING cook. The breakfast and dinner were an incredible taste of local cuisine. During our stay of two days, we had meat dishes, soups, salats, pancakes, omelets from Lia's chickens, homemade cheeses, and freshly milked milk from Lia's cows. A lot of signature Sakartveli dishes. We highly recommend Lia. Everything was great.

The host does not speak so much English, which can be a challenge to communicate sometimes but it is okay for most parts. The wifi was on and off.

Verified reviewBeautiful and peaceful garden. DELICIOUS food cooked by the lovely, warm and kind Lia. Lia passed on an official storm warning so we stayed an extra night while hiking through Mazeri and a good thing we did as the next day was pouring with rain. Rooms are comfortable and communal areas nice. Perfect base to stay to explore the area or as an overnighter while hiking through.

Verified reviewVery nice guest house located in the heart of one of the most scenic villages on earth. Lia was extremely kind and caring. One of the people in our travel group got sick during our stay and she was extremely sympathetic and did everything she could to help. The food is amazing. It's not food you'd typically find in a Georgian restaurant, but more everyday food that Georgians eat at home. It's super hearty, tasty, and it's the perfect way to end a day of hiking. She has vegetarian options available upon request too.

Verified reviewValue for money guesthouse, Lia is extremely kind and helpful. Provided vegetarian meal, and there were nice lounge areas to relax and chat with other guests. Good location.
Rooms are quite noisy. Not quite enough bathrooms for the amount of guests.

Verified reviewThe guesthouse has a beautiful view of the mountains. It is in a secluded village (which can make transport to and from hard if you dont have a car), but it is really a charming authentic place. The breakfast and dinner is huge and very traditional if you like that.
They have a lot of dogs in their garden, so dont be scared of dogs. The village is also so small that there is no eating/food options besides the guesthouse

Verified reviewLia is so kind and mindful person. She helped us with all the questions we had. On the day of arrival she welcomed us with tea and self made Pasha. The location of the house is ideal starting point to go hiking to the nountains, just across the meadow and start your walk🙂. The room was spacious and provided a great view to the mountains. Breakfast absolutely stunning. All homemade and delicious. The portions bigger than expected. Lia also offered us a diverse dinner, for just us two she had prepared so many different dishes, all homemade and delicious. Since it was not yet a warm season she also offered us extra electric radiator for heating. Truly amazing stay!
The location on the map was a bit misleading, but we called the host and she came out to find us.
Thank you very much, my dears, for such a wonderful review. This means a lot to me. I am so grateful to you. You are wonderful, young people. Communication with you was very hidden for us. Thank you very much.
