How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is the second time I have stayed here and the shoebox room I got (Room 1) was only barely worth the price. The mattress sucked with a permanent dent in it. The shower holder was broken and had no door and leaked all over the bathroom. And you are surrounded by all the utility spaces and have to listen to them 24/7. You hear every single tiktok video the front desk watches all day, and every conversation they have. The water pump is just outside the window so you hear that all day and night. And the utility room above you starts at 5 am and the staff area behind the desk you hear all the time.And for some reason they start washing buckets out side the window at 6am.
The location just can’t be beat! Best price you are gonna find in Osu, but only book the “executive” rooms.

A breakfast option would be nice
Everything worked. First good hot real shower I've had in 2 weeks of travelling through West Africa. Everything clean. Comfortable bed. Nice start indeed

The only disappointment was THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST
The location was easy to find---just behind the Total petrol station on Oxford Street.There are two Total stations on Oxford Street, advice customers that hotel is Danquah Circle end

The only unfortunate issue to note is that the hotel tries to make extra money (20%) by claiming that their VISA Card machine does not work (which was not true) in order to be able to use a 20 inflated exchange rate between the US$ and the Ghana Cedi. This can be avoided by paying in US$ cash whereby the hotel has no change for US$....

I couldn't sleep well due to loud conversations around the front desk and lounge area during the night and early morning hours. It was very small room and not suitable for a long-term stay. Additionally, there was no shower curtain, so the floor of the unit bath got completely wet, and I had to clean it myself, which left the floor feeling unpleasant afterward. The height of the table and chair didn’t match, and overall, the stay was not comfortable.
The room itself was clean and well-equipped. The location is convenient with easy access to anywhere.

My room was small (not spacious like on the pics) and noisy. Noise came in from outside as well as reception. The airco was blowing very cold air straight onto my face so had to sleep under the duvet or turn it off which was too hot as there was a window missing (had just a mosquito net). I had booked 5 nights of which one was paid in advance as deposit and the remaining nights had to be paid cash on arrival. After the first night, I knew I had to find another place if I wanted to sleep, so I asked for a refund for the last 2 nights only (so giving them 2 days notice). I never got any money back but booked somewhere else anyway. There were no common areas to meet other travellers.
The girls at reception were friendly and helpful. It's close to pubs, supermarkets and restaurants, just off Oxford Street. Independence arch within walking distance.
