Could have done with more pillows as a family of 4. Property is a squeeze for 4 for more than 48 hours.

Very clean, well equipped and nice modern decor. Contact with the owner was quick and well organised. Lovely beach and nearby beach bar very helpful. Close to the bus stop and the main centre via taxi. Despite being on the beach the property had good sound proofing.

Nothing to hate or criticise.

The property is in a superb location on Catalan bay beach which is one of the best beaches in Gibraltar and family friendly. The property is very clean and well looked after. Can’t recommend enough. The owner also have kindly left a parking permit if you will use a car.

i absolutely loved my stay at Riviera Mews. i had played at Catalan Bay beach as a child and often looked at the candy coloured houses and wondered what it would be like to live there. so it was a joy to actually get to stay there! the apartment is gorgeous! the bedroom has a window with a sea view. the living room opens up onto a balcony where you can see the beach and you can eat your meals outside. the beach is mere footsteps away. i thought because it was so close to the sea it might get a bit noisy at night or in the morning because of the sea gulls, but not so at all. you can hear the waves, but softly, so it's heaven to fall asleep to. i went in March so it was off season, which meant i had the beach to myself. which i loved. there was only one restaurant open but that was fine by me, i actually ordered a fresh fish takeaway which i then ate on the balcony. during the day i was also able to get gelato from there. because it was off season, none of the nearby shops were open, but that was also fine, because you can order shopping online on the hungry monkey app. i don't drive but was able to order taxis or get the bus into the town centre when i wanted to. for me, my stay was perfect because i wanted some quiet time and the beach to myself! i expect if you go in summer it will be far busier though as the apartment is right on the beach. but the plus is that more stuff will be open, if that's what you're looking for.

A lovely little house in Catalan Bay. Clean, comfortable and right above the beach - we loved the fact that it was quiet in the evenings and we had a lovely view of the rock and the sea. There is a bus stop a few minutes away but we found the walk around to the main town quite easy. The host was friendly and helpful and check in was easy.

Absolutely loved staying at this property it was so pretty the owners were so friendly and always welcoming. The location was amazing situated on the beach. Was easy to find would definitely return again. Was beautifully organised and everything was easy to find around the property.

Views were amazing, you can hear the waves lapping against the shore. Apartment had everything you would need for a stay in Gibraltar. Host's we're really responsive.

Very neat and clean , beautiful nature around. The house had all the facilities one needs. Perfect for family . The host were really good and shared us all the necessary information about Gibraltar from food , transportation, view points and everything else.

No shops close by to get water, groceries etc - need to use public transport or taxi to be able to get this. Although we used hungry monkey to order in breakfast which was good.

Lovely clean accommodation and beautifully furnished. Set in an Amazing location with beautiful views - very quiet.

Only one restaurant nearby called seawave. Had to go to town for any provisions. Had problems with tv unable to change volume remote not working properly. Txt owner who promptly replied suggesting hadn’t happened before but got around the problem using tv itself but not easy. Could have done with a couple of deck chairs and an umbrella for beach because no shade and no beach sunbeds etc Locals brought all own stuff. Weekends was busy with lots of youngsters blaring out music but luckily we went for walks and into town.

Payment wasn’t clear through booking.com. Didn’t receive emails from host regarding payment.Luckily I chased up and resolved issues. However if you pay by credit card you will incur 3% charge which in our case was £30. This was not clear on original booking and booking.com refused to refund even though their price didn’t reflect what we had to pay.

For those who want a peaceful escape from rush and loudness, this is the best place ever. Imagine taking dinner or breakfast watching and listening to the waves. I fully recommend this place without any doubts. And for sure, I will be back.

A folder in the apartment containing print outs of all the useful information would be really helpful, so you don't have to keep checking your messages on Booking.com to retrieve this, such as Wifi passwords and where to eat/book taxis, where to switch on the boiler for the hot water etc. Also there were 4 of us staying and there were only 3 cups and bowls in the apartment, although this wasn't a major issue, it just meant washing up more often! A welcome pack with a couple of basics like milk and bread would be the icing on the cake, as there isn't a shop very close by, and especially for those guests arriving late, but this is just a minor point.

Location is excellent with this apartment! Caleta beach is my favourite beach in Gibraltar and the location of this place certainly did not disappoint. My kids absolutely loved being able to walk a few steps and be on the beach in the morning or afternoons, and being able to hear the sound of the waves from the apartment was also great. Catalan Bay with all the coloured houses is such a little gem and is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The apartment had everything you needed; the beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay here. We didn't want to come home! The hosts were great at providing all the information you needed before your stay. Toiletries provided in the shower, plenty of towels available and it was great to have beach towels made available too. A hairdryer was also provided, which was a big plus point and meant I did not have to pack one! Tea, coffee and sugar provided, even a washing machine! Wifi was good and plenty to watch on the TV.
