How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGood pool area, nice room
No buffet breakfast only a la carte which was exacerbated by slow service, some rooms too close to the road
Dear Daniel, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent stay at the 18grapes. It’s wonderful to know that you found our rooms and the pool area a wonderful experience. We regret to learn from you that the breakfast experience was not the expected one; however, as a luxury boutique hotel, we focus more on personalized service, therefore we don’t operate a buffet style. This information can also be found on our website. In fact our a la carte breakfast is home-made, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients, served on the table. During the service might be sometimes rush hours and little delay, hopefully this didn’t happen every single day of your stay. The location is very close to the beach and the only road leading to the beach is the one you mentioned. Although the road is not noisy, we have equipped all rooms with double glazed windows and the property is fenced with tall plants. Thank you for choosing the 18grapes and we hope to welcome you back soon for an even more enjoyable stay. Warm regards, The 18grapes Team

Verified reviewWe spent seven nights here on our honeymoon and it was the most incredible hotel we've stayed at. Everything was incredible! The staff were super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Any service you could think of was available. The laundry bag was such a bonus, where you could get a big bag of your laundry done for 30 Euros. The food was nothing short of incredible and the sunset bar had amazing views. The pool was never crowded and always relaxing and it's such a short walk to some of the most stunning beaches! We had a separate entrance to our room and a private hot tub where we could control the temperature. The staff knew it was our honeymoon and gave us a complimentary little cake and sweet note upon arrival! Everyone went above and beyond for the best hotel experience. We can't recommend it enough!!

I feel like the restaurant recommendations may have been driven by a kick back, one restaurant in particular had terrible service and food.

Verified reviewLocation was great. Five minute walk to Agios Prokopios beach! Staff was excellent and the style and decor of the hotel could not be better.
There was no place to gang towels right by the shower which made it so you had to walk soaking wet to get one upon coming out of the shower.

Verified reviewamazing breakfast with local products . friendly personnel well temperature in the room without air condiitoning walking distance to agios prokopios beach
near buisy street location , absence of nice view , absence of surrounding isolation . small lobbies , small lounge , ressembles more rooms to let than hotel . impossible to find a place to relax outside the room , because common use spaces very small , and the room terrace had view on a parking lot .
Dear Sarra, We appreciate your feedback on your recent stay with us at the 18grapes. Your kind words about our a la carte breakfast, the staff, and the room comfort are very encouraging for our team. We have taken note of your observations and comments about the location and the absence of a nice view. The location is very close to the beach and the only street leading to the beach is the one you mentioned. Although the street is not noisy, we have equipped all rooms with double glazed windows, and the property is fenced with tall plants. As you have booked a Superior Sea view room, all of these room types are located on the upper floor of each residence with unobstructed view to the sea. The common areas of the property are designed as a luxury boutique hotel, using elements of the Cycladic architecture. Our pool area and our roof top with the infinity pool are some of the places our visitors can relax during the day. As a 5-star property located near one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, we take great pride in offering not just amenities, but a refined experience with personalized service, comfort, a peaceful ambiance just steps from the beach, and attention to detail that we believe sets us apart. We genuinely value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Warm regards The 18 Grapes Hotel Team

Verified reviewAgios Prokopios is the best beach and this hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach. It’s a little overpriced I would say. Staff is very good, pool is terrific. Breakfast is also very good. I think they sort of guard their towels somewhat which is very annoying. Other than that, very nice hotel, if somewhat overpriced.

Verified reviewClean, good location, 2 pools, great breakfast
Overpriced for the quality and amenities you get. It’s a great area with great beach nearby for kids, but hotels closer to beach seemed just as nice and much cheaper, maybe just missing the breakfast which I don’t think make this worth it

Verified reviewException stay at 18 Grapes. I would say this is the nicest hotel in the area by far. Fantastic staff and facilities. the breakfast was nice however not excellent (The croque Monsieur was very average - just bread, cheese and sauce). A few more options at breakfast would be great. Perhaps a less fancy approach could be a better option. We will definitely be back.
Pool, rooms, staff all fantastic.
