How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery comfortable room with a large covered patio. Looking just right I could see the Acropolis lighted up at night. From the rooftop restaurant, which served delicious food, there was a beautiful view of the Acropolis. Especially fun at night when it was all lighted up.
My bathroom was a little small.

Verified reviewShort stroll to Acropolis entrance and Acropolis museum. Close to restaurants and hop/ on hop off bus. Roof top restaurant had a great view of the Acropolis and a fantastic menu. Room was comfortable with everything that you need. Staff at desk were lovely and extremely helpful in organising pick up and drop off drivers, and giving advice for local activities.
Room was near elevator and quite noisy. Be aware that people eating in the upstairs restaurant can charge meals to room. We were nearly caught out as we were leaving with someone having signed their meal to our room. Luckily I had evidence to show we had been elsewhere, and the signature was not ours.

Verified review5 minute walk to the nearest Metro station (Syntagma Fix) and a 15 minute walk to Acropolis (lower entrance). Amazing roof top restaurant serving great food overlooking the Acropolis. Hotel clean, always greeted with a smile. The room also came with air-con which was much needed in August when we visited. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Verified reviewThe hotel, location and staff were absolutely amazing. We stayed in 3 rooms (there were 7 of us) and the highlight was the location. It felt safe (location wise, being so close to the Acropolis) and the rooms were comfortable.
The bathroom in our room had a weird shower set up and the water went everywhere if the shower holder was used.
Thank you very much for your comments. our apologies for the bathroom. This winter we are renovating all the bath rooms in the first floor. removing all the bath tabs and installing modern shower cabins. Yours sincerely. The manager. Stefanos Petrof

Verified reviewThe customer service in front is very nice and professional especially if you speak English.
The TV Mount on the wall is too close to the bed. I bumped onto the frame twice. It's better to put a foam on the wood frame to avoid any safety risk.
Thank you very much for your excellent comment and your advise. I will action on your suggestion. Yours sincerely. The manager. Stefanos Petrof

Verified reviewThis hotel is very conveniently located almost next to Acropolis museum and entrance to acropolis is just an easy 10min walk. Hop on hop off bus stop is also 5min walk. TGS rooftop bar is the highlight with amazing lit up views of acropolis. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and let us have early check in, held our baggage till we departed, and also called the taxis for us. I would definitely stay here again. We had all we needed in the room for the one night we stayed here. There are great restaurants and shops within less than 5min walk. Really enjoyed our stay!

Verified reviewPerfect location, less than 10 minutes walk to the Acropolis and Plaka area. Very nice rooftop bar with view to the Acropolis. Very comfy beds, good air-con, all amenities for toilettes, room and bathroom new and very clean. Best was the staff, specially Rania. From before arrival she provided very useful and clear information, though check in time was at 15.00, she let me have an earlier check in. The day of my birthday, the hotel left in my room a bottle of very good wine with a nice letter, then also credited me with the breakfast of the day of my birthday. All really warm and sweet details that I appreciated so much.
no negative comments, everything was faultless

Verified reviewRooms were spacious and mine had a balcony and a walk-in shower. Bed was really comfortable and they had a small mini-frig with ice cold water in it when I arrived. The room deck bar and restaurant were incredible. Service was great and food well beyond my expectations. Really good bartender. The profiteroles were the best I’ve ever had. Oh yeah - a most fantastic view of the Acropolis especially at night.
Not a dislike but breakfast lagged behind all other aspects of the hotel but did the job at 7:00 am.
