Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenCleaniness need to be improved. The room was clean but the rest of the apartment need to be cleaned.
Good rooms, possible to go upstairs for the view of Akropolis, but the view is very far and not very visible from that point. The host was nice and possible to use kitchen or washing machine if needed.

United KingdomThe property was right at the top of a very long steep hill and walking up and down was exhausting. The metro was 15 minutes away by foot and that was the way to get there. Impossible for taxis to get up close because it was a dead end and almost impossible for them to turn around. Access to the parking was extremely hazardous, narrow with almost a 1/4 incline. The property had a kind of tile for the road service which was also very slippery. I advised asphalt or concrete since I damaged my car getting in there.
Everything seemed new and the facilities were good and on the 6th floor with Acropolis views only on the 7th floor. There was car parking on site. The staff was very friendly and concerned about cleanliness and that guests were happy.

AustraliaIt is located in a 6th floor and we had to go on foot with a 23 kgs suitcase all 6 floors of the building because the elevator was broken. There are two rooms on the terrace of the owners apartment. You have to get in the apartment of the owner and go up a little stair to reach the rooms. There is no privacy, it is like sharing an apartment with the owner and a second guest. This would be ok if the rooms wouldn't be so tiny! The room had only one bed not even a bed side table. The floor was dirty, the bathroom was dirty. We had to take out the rubbish bag in the bathroom, because apparently that service wasn’t provided. There was no hand soap (just a left over from the shower gel mixed with water) and we got only one body towel per person. It was a house but we couldn’t find any house utensils such as mugs.

AustriaThe rooms have nothing to do with the photos! There are two rooms on the terrace of the owners apartment. You have to get in the apartment of the owner and go up a little stair to reach the rooms. There is no privacy, it is like sharing an apartment with the owner and a second guest. This would be ok if the rooms wouldn’t be so tiny! No room to walk or breathe. We couldn’t even open the window because there was not enough space… The room had only one bed and a half made wardrobe. Not even a bed side table. We had to use our phone torches in order to have a softer light in the room. The floor was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, there was no hand soap ( just a left over from the shower gel mixed with water) and we got only one body towel pro person. No face towel which is basic! The owner just changed the bed sheets in the room and that was all! No cleaning?? That’s horrible! The fridge was stinking and we had to go on foot all 6 floors of the building because the elevator was broken. The parking spaces aren’t possible to reach, without damaging your car. It’s really pity because the building is bright new.
The only nice thing was the view, but there is no acropolis view from the balcony, but from the terrace of the whole building, which is dirty, small and has no furniture.

BulgariaWhen we arrived it was messy and leftovers and unwashed pottery in the common areas remained throughout our short stay. The floor and the bathroom weren’t clean, there were stains on the sheets. In terms of location, during the day it was fine but coming back in the evening was rather uncomfortable and definitely not recommendable for female solo travellers. If you’re coming by car, there’s a parking lot available, however, almost impossible for bigger cars.
The place is bright and spacious, with very nice views from the terraces. The host was kind and provided us with all the needed information.

GermanyIt's hard to find something negative. The only thing you could deduct points for was that the bathroom floor would get soaked due to the shower curtains not being long enough. But it gets dry immediately after you open the window.
The view from the rooftop and the balcony was phenomenal and it alone was worth the stay. The owner was super kind and responded quickly to our texts. He would even let us check in way beyond the limit when our flight was delayed. He also handed us binoculars to use on the rooftop.

Czech RepublicI would recommend this accommodation to anyone! Clean, modern, comfortable. The host is very nice and attentive guy. There's not only Acropolis view from the terrace but view of whole city of Athens including port and surrounding mountains, stunning! The bus stop is just 5 minutes away, you get to city center in half an hour. The nearest grocery store is just around the corner.
