How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewMy wife and I spent a few days there for our honeymoon and it was fantastic, the staff really make you feel welcome. Overall, the facilities and food at the hotel were excellent. Location is great if you want a quiet spot with amazing view, but far from the main touristic spots in the island.
The transfer to the airport is more expensive than ordering an uber or cab yourself.

Verified reviewVery nice view , location ideal to visit the island and avoid the crowd , perfect service ( the staff is hyper nice), the breakfast is also very good. The card menu is small but good quality. The rooms were spacious and had a nice view on the caldera. The road in front of the hotel could have been an issue but not at all. You can’t barely see it .
The gym has no window and no view, and the spa is accessible by booking only. However we went to the gym every day !

Verified reviewIncredible stay, very reasonably priced with excellent service and facilities. When we arrived, we had many plans to explore the island but ended up spending most of our time here. Location is excellent, outside of the touristy areas but very well-connected by the bus service (less than 5 minutes away) Food and drinks at the restaurant were always wonderful

Verified reviewRoom was clean, spacious, quiet with an amazing view on the caldera. We got upgraded to a room with a jaccuzi that we really enjoyed. Swimming pool is big, well maintained and you can drink a good cocktail while watching Fira. Breakfast is fresh with plenty of choices. Coffee was particularly good. What makes this hotel go from very good to perfect is the staff that was very welcoming, warm and helpful. Overall a quiet Luxury and authentic place where we spent our one week honeymoon and we will keep wonderdul memories. Highly recommended.

Verified reviewI am going to start with the staff, they are just great, they all go above and beyond, they really are lovely. This is very good hotel located in Akrotiri, away from the busiest areas. The room are lovely and spacious, which also includes a lounge with a small kitchen area The room were cleaned daily, and they would leave a little treat and bottle of water every day. The breakfast was amazing, the food was great, and we had lots of choice on what to eat. The restaurant (which is by the pool) offers a view on the caldera, which is very relaxing when this the first thing you see while you are having your breakfast, there isn't better way to start off the day. I had lunch and dinner, and the food was really good, prices are really fair too. The Spa is great too, the atmosphere is so relaxing. Ihad treatment and used the jacuzzi a couple of time I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Verified reviewThe view never disappoints and provides constant awe. There are some consequences such as the wind and the road (not too busy) but you have to make some compromises. The service is great and even though it was clearly at the beginning of the season there are no complaints.
The hot food at breakfast and at dinner was never hot. The coffee in the room was not adequate despite the efforts to replace the pod machine and we gave up with that and waited until we were down in the restaurant.

Verified reviewThis was a lovely place to stay if you dont want to to be in Fira which is busy. Only a short bus ride to Fira. Our apartment had a plunge pool which was great and the main pool was very nice. Wonderful views of the Caldera. Walking distance to the Ancient City which is a must visit. Breakfast was really good and dinner was excellent. Staff were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend

No tea coffee or milk in room had to ask for a kettle which was supplied promptly but should be there anyway. Very minor dislike.
