Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

North MacedoniaDepending on the wind direction, the ventilation of the restaurant's kitchen in front of the hotel could smell when we were sitting on the balcony.
The view, the staff... in a word, excellent. Also, the proximity to everything interesting and worth seeing is a big plus. The breakfast is extensive with lots of choice. I recommend it without hesitation.

AlbaniaWe enjoyed everything! The hotel was a few steps from downtown and the beach. The room was very clean and felt like fresh new. The staff were very friendly and helped us with every questions we had. Parga, a small city but very well organized with everything you want from vacations. 10/10

SwedenWhile the stairs are picturesque and functional, they could be challenging for those with knee or joint issues.
A pleasant and cozy hotel with a fantastic breakfast, stunning views, and warm, attentive staff. The ample closets and drawers make for an especially practical and comfortable stay.

CanadaWe loved our stay at Acrothea in Parga. The room was very quiet, well set up, and just a short walk to waterfront restaurants and shops. We had an ocean view from our balcony, and all seats on the terraced breakfast patio had a view. The staff were very friendly.

United KingdomNot to have 71 steps to get down to the beach (I am 81 years old) but the hotels location and views from the balcony over-rode that concern
Excellent great choice including fantastically prepared omelettes. Breakfast patios had great views

UkraineThe only thing which we could just recommend to be improved is the mattresses. Or maybe it`s the bed itself, but it is a bit jumpy. When one person turns on the bed, another one wakes up, because he is swaying on the bed. I`m sure, this is not a big deal for those usually having no problems with sleep.
Location - ideal: if you go down the hotel stairs, you get to the waterfront with all it`s bars and restaurants, but you may also use the upper access to the town, and in some 3-5 minutes you are at the city center. There was a kitchenette and a coffee-machine in the room. Good speed of internet. The view was the main criterium for me to choose this hotel, and it didn`t disappoint (look at my photos, made from the balcony). The room appeared to be cozy enough, everyday day good cleaning. The breakfasts in this hotel is something you should not miss: served on a terrace overlooking the Parga harbour, these are buffet breakfasts + they make eggs for you upon your choice (scrambled, omelet etc.). The stuff is very polite and welcoming: Alexandra takes a good care of her guests, and Dimitris, the owner, does his best so that everyone can feel comfortable at his place. Upon our check-out we were presented by a bottle of local wine. If you arrive by car, there are three parking slots near the upper entrance to the hotel, or you may park at the opposite side of the road beneath the mountain. While in Parga, visit taverna Sakis as well, run by the same owner Dimitris - the best meal we had in Parga.

CanadaYou have to be OK with climbing/descending stairs. That being said it is a LOVELY hotel. The room is nicely decorated, it's equipped with pretty much everything you might need, everything looks brand new. And then the VIEW is to die for. I could just stay on the balcony for hours. For restaurants you go down a few stairs, 2 minutes, the beach 3 minutes. Breakfast very good, people very friendly. It was a one night pit stop on our way back to Athens, but if we come back to this area I would ABSOLUTELY stay here.

United KingdomThere are a lot of steps up from the harbour to the hotel but the view is absolutely worth it and the steps were not a problem for us!
Fabulous location overlooking the harbour! Beautiful views from the balcony. Great location right in the centre of plenty of bars and restaurants. Staff were super friendly and room was clean. Bed was nice and comfy.

BulgariaKids room was very small. In fact it is good enough for sleeping, but nothing else. Now, out of season was not hot, but in summer maybe this room will be very hot because of the air conditioner which is in the other room.

United KingdomClimbing up the steps to our room, but that is hot a complaint, either you want the best view or not, so it is the guests choice at the end of the da.
We had an excellent week here. Fortunately we probably had the best room in the hotel as far as the view was concerned. The breakfasts were very good also, served buffet style in reception and eaten outside in a dedicated area with a nice view. Excellent selection of everything you could need. A special word should go to the staff, every one of whom, without exception, was cheerful and helpful on every occasion, they were all a credit to the hotel.

SwitzerlandThe parking options are probably a bit limited - for us it was fine, as there was free parking right outside the hotel (traveling during October) but during high season it could possibly get problematic as the place will be packed with tourists. Maybe something to explore before going by car.
The location of the hotel is excellent - through a small passageway you are immediately at the port and beach area where you’ll find all restaurants and bars. The breakfast was extremely varied with all sorts of delicacies. You’ll get fresh omelette or fried eggs on demand. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The owner & staff are very friendly and helpful.
