Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis was an amazing experience. From check in to check out, Kassiani was available at any time. She made various recommendations for dinner and activities. She also arranged the activities for our family. The suite was incredibly clean with housekeeping each day of our stay, this included daily cleaning of the hot tub! We can't say enough about this accommodation and the staff.

Sleeping in a lovingly renovated old mill with all modern furnishings. It's a lovely place with a jacuzzi and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The owner, I assume it was her, was really nice, always asking if we needed anything, to make our stay pleasant.

CanadaMaria was fantastic, very helpful. View and heated pool were amazing. Not hot, which was also great, refreshing and warm. Definitely rent an ATV (Maria can coordinate pickup), we got to see so much more of the island and hadn't expected to feel safe driving it around.... We were wrong! 100% will come back if we can

United KingdomA few things to mention that may or may not affect travellers in the future to this beautiful venue. The walk to the venue is in my opinion not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone that struggles with walking / breathing issues. As we arrived in darkness, the pathway was difficult to navigate and so mobile phones / torches were out, and this is where we encountered the first small issue. Overhanging branches from other properties close to the main road did have sap on the leaves and this stuck to our clothing, and this was impossible to notice in the dark. While the use of space is excellent, there is extremely limited space for baggage and suitcases. We had 2 suitcases and 2 small cabin bags. I feel the sofa area upstairs could be removed and the space utilised for baggage storage, because we used this sofa to put our bags on, so the sofa couldn't have been used by us personally to sit on. We did ask if the Jacuzzi had been cleaned, and we were assured it had been, but the photos posted in this review would seriously question this. This part may not affect future travellers - Opposite the windmill, along the main entrance pathway some construction work was being carried, by non hi visibility wearing individuals who have never heard of footing a ladder, or health and safety at work, no signage working height, (all of which I believe is regulated by EU law, clearly Santorini is exempt - oh island life where ignorance is bliss) and these guys had no issues whatsoever in discarding the roof they were tearing down into the property where we were staying - and I actually had to stop them from working so we could pass safely. I completely understand the regeneration and building works do take place, but they should be done so safely, especially when debris from the works is cascading into the property where we are staying.
Sadly, we could only stay here for one night as we were moving on to another venue in Santorini. The correspondence via WhatsApp after booking was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful, especially with taking our details passport information before we checked in to save time. We did have a late(ish) arrival so we arrived at close to the property around 19.15, where we were met by a member of the Aecon team, and a rather decent fellow who carried our suitcases on his shoulders on can only be described as an unforgiving 6 minute trek to our destination. The property is slick, similar in design and styling to Oia Suites Santorini who are actually the owners of Aecon Suites (My receipt for my stay at Aecon had Oia Suites on the top of the receipt and the staff member confirmed this). We stayed in the windmill itself, which is beautifully presented and the use of space inside is excellent, with a great shower, toilet, kitchen facility, with coffee machine, plates etc, great bed, big TV, and Aircon. Natural light was not great, but ample lighting and power sockets available. The outdoor space was superb, with plenty of seating to relax, in the surrounds of the semi private terrace. The heated jacuzzi is a great addition (comments in the negative section to follow). The main entrance is shared with patrons staying in the larger accommodation just below the windmill, and this is why it is a semi private terrace because people can view you quite clearly when transiting from their accommodation to the exit/entrance gate. The surrounding area is rustic, with some beautiful views of the church, an incredible sunrise, and literally 5 minutes walk from one of my favourite places to eat on the island Metaximas. Would I stay here again, yes, but for a very limited period time, and you need a car for this location.

The hotel was excellent, the hot tub was a lovely added bonus (be carful of the stairs), the host was so welcoming and answered any queries we had straight away. They can organise a taxi for you from the airport and we got another to the port but bring cash. A gorgeous stay

Such a unique place to stay with the most spectacular view - we had a wonderful week at Aecon Suites (Mill House). The staff were unbelievably attentive, with a full cleaning service everyday and help/advice with booking tables, arranging transfers, etc. A lot of attention to detail has been given to this property, which has been lovingly restored and transformed into two separate suites - the Mill House being perfect for couples. We can't wait to stay here again!

United KingdomThe weather wasn't great the day/night of our stay unfortunately, so just meant we did not make as much use of the space outside - but obviously it goes without saying that no one was to blame for that. I did not realise there was no parking at the property, so although there is free parking nearby at the Church - it means an uphill walk to the suite with luggage, but definitely worth getting out of breath for! I must mention that we were asked by Elisabetha (sorry if that's wrong!) if we needed help with luggage.
Everything! I cannot speak highly enough of this property. During our holiday in Santorini we travelled around the island and stayed at multiple hotels - 7 to be exact. Despite only staying 1 night (would have loved to have stayed longer) - This was without a doubt our favourite stay of our holiday!! A lovely chance to relax away from the crowds of Oia and Fira and re charge our batteries, so to speak. It was an incredible stay! It is an absolutely stunning building with very good use of all of the space. Great attention to details. Watched the sunrise from our balcony/hot tub - amazing Very comfy bed Use of robes Luxury toiletries provided Lovely shower Breakfast hamper provided Delicious chocolate cake was a lovely welcome gift Hostess welcoming and friendly Uphill trek to Pyrgos, but lovely little village Less than 5 minutes to Metaxi Mas - the best restaurant of our stay. Delicious food and excellent service. You must make a reservation to guarantee a table.

NetherlandsThe kitchen is very tiny and not so well equipped. However this property was pretty new. I had to ask for things like a chopping board etc. Also the coffee machine. It should be possible to buy the coffee pods from them, as they were out of stock on the whole Island. So we had to keep asking for them but were told we could and should buy them ourselves. The property is quite far from any shops so if you need to get water for instance (maybe buy a water filter as the water is supposed to be a bit salty on the Island), it's easier to have a car. The cleaner came everyday and washed the whole terrace. Some times it was nice not to have this as you just wanted to relax. Also the hostesses office was on our terrace so we didn't feel like it was always relaxing. Would be better to see the staff working there when we needed to rather than every day.
The view was stunning and the warm jacuzzi was wonderful. Unfortunately we didn't have great weather whilst we were there, but I still used it everyday. I think in nicer weather, the terrace would have been wonderful! It was so nice to have the heaters as it was sometimes chilly due to the weather. It was beautifully furnished inside and out and did feel private despite being close to another villa. The cake and other food given upon arrival was also really nice. The hostess was fantastic. She was so lovely to us and it was my sons 15th birthday, she personally brought round a bag on the 2nd day of our stay with all sorts of little presents for him which was so sweet. There is a great restaurant close by and the village is so peaceful and quiet. I loved it!

Australiawe absolutely loved it!
The design and decor of rooms was so beautiful and aesthetic. It was very affordable especially since it had two rooms. The view was great and there were many amenities and toiletries . The jacuzzi was warm and the location was quiet and private. The host was very understanding and hospitable. She allowed us to check in super early even though it was inconvenient and it was nice to find some snacks and yummy cake in the fridge. It’s such a great place and location was not too far from other places if you can drive. There’s free parking. We even rented a quad bike with them and host suggested places to visit . Thank you so much!we really appreciate the hospitality and kindness :)
