Reviews of Traditional Cave Villas with Jacuzzi, Terrace and Sea view - Sando

Kostas and litsa were so friendly and helped us well throughout the trip. The property was spotless and had lots of space. The property kept lovely and cool and there was air conditioning if needed but for the time of year we went, we didn’t need to use it. The breakfast was brilliant and felt like a treat being delivered to the house every morning and had some brilliant options. There was space to park the car about a 30 seconds walk from the property which was brilliant as you needed a car to get around as the house is not within close walking distance form an evening in the town/after a meal.

The sunset on the other side of the mountain so you couldn’t sit out in the evening to watch the sunset but there are lots of lovely places to go and watch this on the island. Towels had a cleaning charge of £15 euros which was reasonable but we needed it doing as we were staying for a week. These are very minor though as the trip was excellent and we would definitely recommend this accommodation again!

Breakfasts were really good delivered right to your door, and the host was helpful and responsive. Jacoozi was fantastic to relax in after a long day exploring the island.

A little out of the way so you'd need your own transport but was in a quiet authentic little village.

Al good. No complaints!

It’s a very nice and comfortable place to stay. The area is quiet and safe. We rent a car and the parking is just 2 minutes walking distance. Not many steps or stairs in the entrance but if you have a baby or lots of luggage, you do need to make some effort to climb a bit steep slope getting to the parking. The beds and the washroom are very clean. The linens are comfy. The host can replace the towels for us everyday. The hot tub is so nice to have, although it’s a bit chilly in the morning, we were able to enjoy it during early afternoon hours.

The only thing with room for improvement is the breakfast. It’s great value with the big portion for each person but they are served in to-go boxes, and not very warm even we had it right after delivery.

An incredibly quiet location with a view on a sea. Thé apartament is very well equipped and absolutly beautiful. Thé Host - Kostas will provide you with any info, hints. And will help tout with anything. Including car loan (çar is advisable in this location). 11/10 "Trust thé locals" ❤️🇬🇷

We stayed too short.

Loves the quiet and very local small village. You can totally relax after bustles at town. Can see the stars at night and inner happiness when you put yourself in jacuzzi and looking over the agean sea and nice breeeze, sun !!!

In overall, it is really great place to stay but location is depend what you want because it is not in the town so need to take taxi to town or to drive.

Kostas the owner, ensured we had a great stay and helped around to give us good advice to spend our time wisely in the island. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

The house was really modern and stylish - in the theme of a ‘cave house’ - lovely curves and painted in light colours. The beds were super comfy, towels soft and fluffy (plus lovely ones for outside) - mirrors and charging ports in the right places. The master bedroom is in a separate room so if travelling with children, you have complete privacy. The kitchen is well equipped. The outdoor space is lovely - with a hot tub, loungers and tables and chairs. The host is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delivered each morning. There are a couple of local restaurants and a mini-market 3 min walk away.

The location might not suit everyone - the property is in a sleepy village about 30/40 min from Fira, with irregular buses. We managed OK as we like to walk and hike ( and we loved the walk to Oia) but needed a taxi in the dark to get home. Maybe would suit most better if you had a car.

I am extremely happy I found this place for our honeymoon as Sandos suites is truly a gem! Located in Vourvoulos, a small idyllic village 5 minutes drive from the spectacular Imerovigli, it offers an ideal location for those hoping to get away from the crowds and find real and authentic Greek island vibes. The property itself is absolutely amazing! It was our first time spending a night in a cave house and we were totally enchanted. The cave house offers tranquility and is refreshingly cool, something we appreciated very much after a long day in the blazing Mediterranean sun. The bedroom is soundproof and super comfortable, cozy and intimate, and I think I got the best night's sleep in my life. The amenities are outstanding, including a jacuzzi, a fully equipped terrace with lounge chairs and a large parasol. The views are breathtaking and it was an absolute pleasure to gaze upon the bright blue sea on one side and little whitewashed houses on the hill. Breakfast was great, especially the traditional Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit. Last but not least, Kostas was very welcoming, always available for questions, tips and suggestions, and he definitely managed to create a very relaxing, idyllic and beautiful atmosphere in this property. Would recommend this place 100% hands down and would definitely stay again if (when!) I go back. A little bonus was having a delicious, hearty and affordable dinner at the local restaurant nearby, with great comfort food, friendly service and elderly gentlemen playing guitars and singing folk songs.

Everything was perfect. Kostas, don't change anything, you are a beautiful soul and it shows in the way you work and treasure this place. We are grateful for the lovely time we spent at your property!
