We did not have a view of the city from the window (it was not refered on the description ofc so it is fair) and also the bathroom did not have a curtain but was generally ok.

Well located but in old town so expect a lot of noise in the evening. The property provides ear plugs! Be careful with the shower, the temperature is difficult to control and can get very very hot.

Amazing Stay at Althaia Pension in Nafplio! My stay at Althaia Pension was absolutely amazing. The room was cozy, spotless, and tastefully decorated—everything you need for a comfortable visit. The location couldn't be better: perfectly situated in a vibrant and charming area, with shops, cafes, and historic sites just steps away. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a truly memorable experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nafplio!

Opposite our room was a noisy place both on Saturday and Sunday evenings, until (very) late.

The location is right in the centre of the beautiful town of Nafplio. The host helped us a lot with good advice.

Because it’s in old town there is a problem with parking, but we dropped off near the pension and parked in the port for free. So not really a problem but be aware.

Really good location in the old town. We booked the triple room to get a balcony, it’s a nice place to sit with a G&T or a beer and watch the people below. The breakfast is good and for €2 each can be upgraded. On our second day we took the breakfast as a takeout and it was equally good in a bag. Good staff as well.

Bathroom was dated, older than the room, and small. A small wet room. The bathrooms in Greece are not always brilliant but this stood out for me as small (but I am large!)

Lovely very big antique style room with big windows with old shutters. Breakfast is good, is in the cafe attached and is all day. Parking was OK. It's just the same as for all the other hotels. You try to get into the port and if not, find somewhere in the new town to the east. Be careful not to park in the place where they set up a big morning market. It operates on Saturdays and I think Wednesdays according to the sign but also on holidays such as at Easter. Unless you want a holiday anecdote.......

Note two things: There is a popular bar right across from the pension. We were there Easter weekend and the party went on until 3am. Our host did provide us with earplugs. The other thing is that each apartment/room doesn’t have its own hot water and you might need to take that into consideration. It wasn’t a big problem for us though!

The pension is full of character and is beautifully decorated. It’s not new and really feels part of the old town’s history. The Kalimera breakfast is fantastic.

The shower was acting up sometimes, either getting too cold or too hot. The sound proofing of the room was inadequate, which is expected for a historic building, but there was a lot of noise from the street outside. At night it was fine, but during the summer season it might be more problematic.

The room was really beautiful, spacious, and cosy and the service was excellent. Good location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Very steep stairs can be an issue for people with mobility restrictions.

Very comfortable, warm, clean, and nicely decorated. The rooms were big enough for our group. Good price, great location, friendly host waited for us to check in and was flexible regarding check out time. Provided restaurant recommendations and maps.

My husband is 6’2 and he was too long for the bed so he couldn’t sleep with his legs stretched out. LOTS of stairs to the top where we stayed. LOTS. Pack lightly.

Our host Evie was wonderful. Provided some bottled water upon arrival as tap water in Nafplio is not safe to drink. Kettle with coffee and teas in the room, and our room was cleaned and made daily (without needing to request services). Great location close to the port for free parking.

Great location right in the heart of old town, good sized rooms with kitchenette if you needed to make breakfast etc. Lady was very nice and have pointers about our stay. Note no lift at property only stairs

Overlooking the street was very fun however it did get a bit noisy at night. Closing down the shutters cut down the noise substantially. We were there on a weekend which probably made a difference as well.

A few small things. The balcony is a little scary as it is not level and feels like it is about to fall off the wall. The shower head does not fit in the wall mount.
