How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was excellent, we really enjoyed the separate adults-only area for sunbathing and swimming. The food was tasty with plenty of variety.
On the downside, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, it felt like sleeping on a stone slab and my back hurt a lot. There were no trash bins around, and the adults-only pool area had no toilets – the nearest one was very far away. There were also an incredible number of wasps, although I’m not sure how much the hotel can do about that.

Verified reviewThis review is actually for Tesoro Hotel , because Altura Hotel it was overbooked in the moment when we arrived, but Tesoro is a little bit more new then the Altura Hotel . Altura and Tesoro have the same level of quality and basic is same Hotel, same pools , same food ,same services and you can choice to stay , drinking relax on pools , or eat in one ore in other doesn't matter where you actually are booked
For both hotels very poor place for parking cars ,on Altura is no space to park , between hotels are only 5 place to park , and on lateral of Tesoro are around 6 to 7 place to park . Tesoro Hotel have in this period when I was booked some small problems with water , but is fixed and refueled every day manually with truck fuell . Is not all the time like this , because this issues appear only after second day in hotel . So if is no water , just must to wait few minutes to comming .....

Verified reviewI like the fact that the resort offers good prices, good food every day (we had all inclusive), good location for the moneys we paid. Rooms were big enough for 2 persons, cleaned every day, the balcony was ok.
I didn't like the fact that the swimming pool is closing at 18:30. It could go around 21PM. Thats all from my side.

Verified reviewThe hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were great. The pools were good, and the fact that the manager went out an removed towels from around the pool at 9:00am every morning to stop people trying to reserve sunbeds was superb. The food was wonderful and there was lots of it.
There is one photo in the batch shown when you book this hotel that is either out of date (being kind) or a con (being brutal) and that is of a classy inside bar. THIS DOESN'T EXIST. so be careful. There is only one bar and it is by the pool. So once you've showered and changed for the evening you can still only get a drink in a plastic cup out by the pool. This isn't great. Plus it's small. On the Greek night everyone had to sit on sunbeds as there was no space. The other very odd thing is that there is no ground floor indoor toilets! Very odd. There are toilets outside behind the building which you use for the pools etc. There is one mens cubicle. So again in the evening that is all you can use. So having dinner you either go back to your room, or go outside and use the pool toilet. Odd. Makes the whole thing feel down-market. Finally please be warned that this is a TUI hotel. This means that absolutely everyone in the hotel is a Brit. They were all really nice - but it isn't the experience you expect when booking a hotel abroad independently.

Under beds not clean. Safe keys were needed rather than a coded safe. Had to find somewhere safe to keep the key.

Verified reviewwe liked our room and the food was also really good. The pools were pretty nice too and the staff was really helpful.
Our bathroom did not look like the one in the pictures and the Wi-Fi was really bad. Also be prepared that there is almost no service on the whole island.
