If you have a light sleep take earplugs as some rooms are facing a road with restaurants which can be noisy at night and early in the morning.

Great location in the center of everything. Lovely host who always checks on his guests to see if their fine. The room has everything you need, even beach towels, coffee, tea and a great roof top with view.

A dive into the ‘70s, nothing has been renewed since than but things work fine and if you look for a central, clean and reasonably priced accommodation this is a great option.

- The owner (and familly) ! Was friendly, caring, ready to help (he fixed 2 things). Thank you so much for chatting in greek and kid gifts. My son loved him and he will use everything for his new school year in a few days - The cleaning lady (Brousta) was super nice - Easy to find, near the port - The room (vintage hydra style, with 2 single beds, and north windows on quiet street + good balcony) was simple and clean from toilets to beds - Window in the bathroom ! - We used the fridge/TV/AC ; there is a kettle too but didn't use it. It's possible to have a real good coffee for free in the lobby downstairs if needed - The rooftop (with umbrellas/seats/chair) with an amazing view on Hydra city, perfect to relax after a day without going out again - When we will come back to Hydra, we will definitely come back here ! (Hydra is really super touristic/expensive/crowded, especially during summer and super clean island too)

My partner and I stayed at Amaryllis in Hydra for 4 nights this summer. We loved it! The location is perfect and the room was cute. It’s very good value for money. It’s clean, perfectly located, has character, lovely staff and a nice balcony. Feels friendly and authentic.

Hotel has very good location, it has old fashioned but very lovely homey athmosphere, the hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would love to go there back someday. it has very lovely terace with excellent viwe to the island.

The bathroom could be done up a bit but for a short stay, this is not that big a deal.

Amazing location a very short walk away from the port. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops and it is very easy to get around. The staff were very friendly, they offer free beach towels and a space upstairs to dry your swimwear. I highly recommend this place!

Loved my stay at the Amaryllis!! A 2 minute walk from the port, so central to everything, with lots of beautiful streets in every direction to get a bit lost...but it all leads back to the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable and the owner was incredibly helpful! There was a lovely welcome basket with toothbrushes, shower cap, however I didn't need to use them. The rooftop gave lovely views over the town and was ideal for viewing the fireworks one night!

For the money this exceeded my expectations

Exceptional value 8 room hotel a few minutes from the port. Our room had a balcony overlooking a lovely restaurant. This must be the best value hotel in Hydra. Beach towels included at no extra cost.

The walls are very thin! But as I'm used to this in greece, I brought earplugs so I could still get a good night sleep 😉

This hotel is a little gem located very close to the harbor. Don't expect any luxury, but the rooms were big, clean, bed was comfy, and i had everything I needed. Big plus for the free amenities basket 👍 And the 🍒 on top is the owner. He is the nicest and kindest to all his guests!

The bathroom was small, but manageable if you squeeze in between shower, loo and basin. A shelf in shower would be helpful for soap, shampoo etc.

Perfect location, short walk from the ferry, and no stairs! The Amaryllis is a little gem. Very kind and helpful host. Hot water available all day.
