Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe hotel is not close to the beach. For someone on a beach-only holiday, it is not so suitable. But there are buses down at the harbour (5 minutes from the hotel) that take you to the various beaches on the island.
We stayed at this hotel for the fourth time (1998, 2000, 2010 and 2025) and would choose it again and again. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful and from the rooms on the upper floors and from the breakfast terrace you have a wonderful view of the city and the Naxos Gate. This of course means that you need to be a good walker to reach the hotel. But it is quiet up there, apart from the church bells ringing in the morning, as there are many churches in Chora.

DenmarkThe place was beautiful, with a nice view of the sea and a cute garden. The people were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our staying. Everyone in the staff was smiley and polite, and gave great suggestions for places to swim or food/drinks. The breakfast was also worth it with freshly squeezed orange juice every morning.

SingaporeNothing really. Just water boiler had a layer of white residue which i manage to clean it off. Maybe no one actually use it for awhile. Just check before use.
Bed, toilet was modern, clean and good flow of water pressure. Location was close to bus station, port and old town. I got room 15 which was outside of the main hotel premises but that does not bother me. View from window was able to see some part of the sea.

United Arab EmiratesIt’s a little tricky to find and a tough hills/steps to get to it with a heavy suitcase (and lots of stairs around the property itself to get to your room/breakfast) but if you can climb stairs I would t let that put you off staying here.
What a beautiful guest house. The rooms had lots of character and were kept spotless. The location and views in the old town were wonderful. The owners couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. We loved sitting out on the breakfast terrance one evening and e joying the sun set and Apollo’s temple. Good value breakfast and good coffee.

United KingdomExcellent location, literally 3 mins walking and we were in the heart of little shops and tavernas. You could easily find the hotel from Chora of Naxos by following the signs as you entered the alleys. There was a public parking 4 mins away as well, which was really convenient for us too as we rented a car to explore the island. The room was clean, every day someone was coming to tidy up and clean. The room was in a separate building from the main hotel which was recently renovated and we had a lovely view of the Portara, the sea and the mountain.

United StatesI liked everything – one thing to note is that the hotel is a walk up and in the Old town – meaning no cars get directly there. I visited with someone who was 66 years old and fit – who had no problem walking up and down twice a day – but if you have someone in your group with mobility limitations, please be advised.
Fantastic little hotel in the Old Town of Chora. Our room had a balcony overlooking the mountain and partially the sea. Sparkling clean with 2 comfy twin beds and white towels. Optional breakfast was convenient at 10 euro / day in the terrace with sweeping views of the ocean.

United Statesit can be tricky to get back to hotel at night as there are too many maze like small alleyway streets which is very easy to get lost. took us less than 10 min to get to the harbor area but coming back can take over half hour if we get lost. but it's all good as the area is very safe with no homeless or weird people. it was good exercise for us.
cute hotel with great staff, they provided complimentary pick up from port which was so great as the hotel can be difficult to find with luggages. the place is family owned. very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast area on rooftop terrace with great view of town. very cute surroundings with cobblestone maze like streets and shops. only around a 10 min walk to harbor area where there are tons of restaurants, cafes, shops, etc
