How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The size of apartment which is rather like an old garage converted into an apartment. Very noisy neighbours (including hosts) , dirty water in the pool, very far beach for children, parking problems!
Dear guest! It is very sad when we prepare our beautiful place for the summer season with love and care all year round and only 1 guest out of 100 comes and gives such a rating. You yourself chose the only small of all our apartments, completely new and fully furnished, with all appliances (microwave, stove, kettle, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, two large TVs, air conditioning, Starlink) and all kitchen utensils. This is shown in the photos when booking. The sea is also located 120 m from our complex, but you preferred our pool. The complex has 8 parking spaces for every apartment. We will definitely file a complaint against you with the Booking support service for providing false information. I hope you feel better now, thank you.

Verified review“I really liked that the apartments were very clean and the surroundings were well maintained. The owners of the complex were waching that the house rules are respected and constantly took care of the cleanliness and upkeep of the surroundings and the pool. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, yet very close to a beautiful beach and not far from the lively center of Hanioti.”
For the families with small kids opening and closure hours of the pool should be longer , at least from 8:00 - 21:00.

Verified review- Very chill apartment, we barely used the AC - Big yard for the kids to play, as well as great view at the green area and the pool - You have direct access to the back yard and you can enter the apartment from there - The beach is literally 5 minutes walking distance - Parking spot is covered and the car is protected from the sun - Hosts were very friendly and helpful - Overall highly recommend and definitely will stay at Ellin Fos villa again if visiting Hanioti

Verified reviewIt was very clean; the apartment was equipped with everything; the hosts were polite - every time we had a question, they answered almost immediately. For me especially the pool was a very big plus... The location is also very good - there was a shop and a restaurant nearby. The centre is maximum 5 minutes away from the apartments.

Verified reviewThe apartment is great located, just a few minutes' walk from the city center, all restaurants, supermarkets and beaches are close and accessible. The accommodation is new and very comfortable, everything was very clean when we arrived. The bed was super comfy, too! The kitchen was very well equipped. Smart TV was a big plus for the kids. The terrace was very enjoyable with a pool view. Definitely, we recommend this place for your vacations. The host was very helpful and polite. Every time we needed anything, she always helped us. Thanks for making our vacation so amazing!

Verified reviewSo, this is a good and big apartment. Cyano beach bar is the best in the area in terms of price to quality ratio.
The beach nearby is awful. "Gia Mass"-never again. No breakfast, no cleaning, this is not a hotel, no view to the beach. If you ask, you are given clean towels and bedsheets. No cleaning supplies were provided. We stayed there for 9 nights, we bought everything we needed to clean the floor and the bathroom. Toilet paper is provided.
Thank you for your feedback. As you correctly wrote, we do not have a hotel, but apartments. Therefore, we do not provide daily cleaning and linen change. All apartments are equipped with washing machines and cleaning products. As for beach bars, there are a lot of them here. Some are good, some are not so good. You choose where it is better for you.

Verified reviewThe apartment was fantastic, very big, comfortable, luxury, and very clean.. the best apartment that we have ever stayed in Greece. The pool and outdoor was also excellent. Alexey and Yulia are great hosts, don't forget to visit their bar and restaurant where you can find different kinds of beers, wines and delicious food. Location is great, few minutes to the beach and center. Highly recommend it.. Alexey/Yulia please keep for us one apartment for next year in June, as we will definitely come again :)

Verified reviewEverything was spotless clean, staff really friendly and helpfull. The distance from the beach really not too much, also the pool was very clean. There was not a thing that we did not like, we will definatelly go back next summer. Supermarket and resaurants were literaly 1 min away.
