Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLack of shade anywhere outside. There are just not enough umbrellas and no shaded areas with sun beds. We had to either keep moving to different beds if space allowed or keep moving the extremely heavy umbrellas. The pool is salt water. Our room flooded from the air conditioning and the staff gave us another nearby room to move to. I was shocked to find new guests in our old room experiencing the same problem the very next day. The problem should have been fixed before allowing new guests into the room.
Nice quiet location. Although the hotel was busy it was a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very helpful. There is a shuttle minivan to collect and take you to the port nearby (not Aegina port) which was a nice surprise! Some really lovely restaurants only a 10/15 minute walk away and some are on the beach.

GermanyI loved everything, but for future bookers is important to notice that the bathrooms are a bit cramped, so keep that in mind, it wasn't a problem for us.
The hotel is really beautiful, located 10-15min from the center, the staff was really friendly and accommodating, we really didn't bring a lot of accessories to swim or snorkel since we were traveling from a bit far away from Greece but the hotel offers many stuffs like the goggles, towels and even to float (a noodle), so we were really thankful. The staff at the bar were amazing. The views are amazing, the water is even more incredible.

United KingdomSome attention to detail in the room. Yes, it was beautiful because of that gorgeous view, but our shower cubicle had a leak, so we had to change bathroom mats every day. The shower cubicle had a shower curtain. For the status of the hotel, that should not be the case. The chair by the table with the mirror had white upholstery but had stains. The curtain on the main balcony door was hanging. Breakfast had a good choice, but may we suggest that eggs, scrambled or fried, and bacon are not pre-cooked and left there so they get hard and cold? You could do them fresh if a guest wants them. That will save on wastage. We also had a day when the melon and watermelon pieces were not fresh, probably because they were left from the day before.
We loved the location and the views. We loved the staff who work so hard and are so kind and hospitable. Every single one of them deserves the mention and they are the ones who make this hotel great. Our room, 207, had a wonderful and comfortable bed, linen and pillows. The hotel was an easy walk to the main strip with restaurants and shops. And the main Agia Marina beach, if you could drag yourself from the comfort of the hotel ones ( there are two). The food for lunch / dinner was lovely but a bit expensive as were the drinks during the day.

United KingdomBeautiful hotel a 10min walk from Agia Marina. The room was spacious, bed was massive and great views from the balcony. Air conditioning helped a lot too. The food at breakfast and drinks selection at the bar is perfect and reasonable. Pool area is lovely with the option of tiered sunbed areas on the cliff side by the sea with safe access into it. We spent our honeymoon here and would recommend it to everyone.

United KingdomMore umbrellas down at the swimming area would have been appreciated.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed; the photos don’t do it justice. Clean lines, spacious, interiors minimally decorated, accentuating the pleasing proportions of the space. We loved spending time in it. Light, airy, unpretentious class! The other asset were the staff. Friendly, hospitable. You felt they enjoyed their jobs and they were a joy to be around. Big plus: If you enjoy a cocktail / drink, the barman David makes the BEST Aperol spritz we’ve ever had. Ask him for the recipe. Location: the hotel is situated on the seafront and is perfectly positioned with incredible views, easy access to swimming (sea and pool).

United StatesAs mentioned in most of the comments, the shower. Very small, (smaller than any shower 8ve experienced. I tried very hard to keep from flooding the bathroom floor to no avail. The shower curtain will stick to your body. That is the only reason I did not give the rating a 10. However, everything else will make this worth the stay.
The stunning views! Absolutely breathtaking!! The friendly staff. Free shuttle service from Agia Marina. The entertainment on some of the evenings. The different locations of lounge chairs by the water. The crystal blue waters. (Don't forget a mask & snorkel!) The bar manager and bartender make delicious drinks. The one free coffee (cappuccino or whatever you like) in the morning. Did I mention the views!!!! 😉 I would come back and highly recommend this beautiful resort.

South AfricaThis place is amazing! The hotel sits atop a hill and has different levels that cascade down to the water below. The view from my room was breathtaking. Very clean, very friendly and attentive staff, good drinks and food and different areas to relax, always with ocean in sight. I spent my says on a lounger next to ocean and could dip in when hot. Definitely returning here !

SwitzerlandImportant to note: there is no car rental in Agia Marina. We were disappointed, as we would have liked to explore the island for a day or two. Taxis are available, but you sometimes have to wait 30-45 minutes for a taxi and the costs add up (35 Euros each way to Perdika). Next time, I would arrive at Agia Marina port and depart from Aegina port. I would take a taxi to Aegina town a couple of days before departure, rent a car, and drop it off when taking the ferry. The shuttle to Agia Marina town is very helpful (although you can also walk), but you need taxis everywhere else as the last bus to Aegina is at 4pm. Other than that, the only thing that needs improvement at the hotel is the breakfast (this is why I rated it a 9 and not a 10). While there is a good variety, everything looks tired and doesn't taste great. The eggs (scrambled and another oven-baked) for me were inedible, but there were boiled eggs also. The bacon was not great. The fruit looked unappetizing the way it was cut and presented. That being said, for 3-4 days, you will be fine and will certainly not go hungry. There is plenty to eat and the spanakopita is good. A nice touch is that you can get one free coffee per person from the bar (but many do not seem to know this) as the coffee from the buffet machine is subpar. Don't worry about the negative reviews regarding the bathroom-- it was fine and bigger than our bathroom in Europe. Yes, the shower curtain is not ideal and shower is small, but it is totally functional. Perhaps it just needs a better shelf for the shampoo.
Amazing views. Couldn't get enough of them and so many different spots to take it all in. Calm hotel with lots of space-- there were many families but it never felt crowded or loud. The lobby and grounds are beautiful, yet there is a low-key, welcoming atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Loved the access to the water (two different locations!)-- it was a very enjoyable and fun experience even though it is not a beach with sand. Water was clean and lovely (although slightly cool). Pool was great also, but don't forget your goggles if you swim as it is salt water. Good cocktails-- the passion fruit daquiri was fantastic. Rooms were a good size and very clean with good air conditioning. We took sea view and it was totally worth it. I don't usually think about going back to a hotel, but I will definitely go back to this one!

United KingdomThe resort shows its age in the low amount of plug points in our standard room. The bathroom though well equipped with lovely fluffy towels and toiletries, was very small and even though I was fine with the shower stall as I'm only 5 ft tall, I imagine a tall person might feel a little hemmed in.
Wonderful small resort hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel sits atop some rocky bays and they have built staggered platforms with sunbeds for guests and from there you can take a plunge into crystal clear turquoise waters. There are also small sandy public beaches a short walk away and Agia Marina town is a 10-12 minute walk via a coastal path. They also serve a great buffet breakfast with the usual hot food (eggs, bacon, sausages) along with cereals, fruit and pastries. We were in room 116 on the ground floor and the view (of the sea framed by pine trees) was spectacular. The hotel also has a shuttle service to Agia Marina harbour/town which picks up guests to and from their ferry. We also used the shuttle service to drop us off into town and back a few times as the weather was sweltering and if we timed it right we could save ourselves a hot sweaty walk!

IsraelThe beds are uncomfortable, and the shower needs renovation, as others have mentioned before.
The hotel is located in an incredible bay — one of the most beautiful. There’s no beach, but rather a bay where you jump straight into deep water. The hotel is old but very well maintained. The location is good, though the town itself is pretty sleepy.
