Although the umbrella number service is an excellent feature, the limited number of staff seems to cause some dissatisfied expressions among the employees. However, I did not experience any shortcomings in the service — they were truly amazing.

Our holiday started with a reservation issue caused by the system, and despite being told there were no available rooms, thanks to the attention and care of the ladies at the reception, it turned into a wonderful few days. They were extremely patient and attentive. It is a very good hotel for a vacation with children.

Arrived at the Astir Odysseus following a disappointing stay at another 5 star hotel in Kos. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. The hotel grounds are beautiful, staff are very friendly, the food is some of the best food I've eaten (big shout out to the chefs), and most importantly there is so much to do for children! Every night at 20:00 there's a disco for kids, followed by a show. (Lion King, Mama Mia). The kids also loved the Belly Dancing. You also put put and a bowling for the kids. Everything feels very engaging for the guests and you can tell they put a big emphasis on this. We were in a room with a private pool which was stunning. Nothing in the hotel is too far from each other which is a big plus when you have little kids! Overall, highly recommend this hotel for families with kids!

We loved everything however we are not the type to be around the pool all day, so getting out and about can be tricky if you don’t have your own transport as taxis are hard to come by and although the bus is good it’s busy and if you want to be out and about you could be waiting a while all the time. We hired a car and saw many others on quad bikes, mopeds etc a great way to her around as everything is so close!

It was a beautiful hotel in a great location close to the beautiful tigaki beach. The food is excellent at the buffet super impressed with the staff

Hotel is very close to island centre. Just 10 min (15 Euro) by taxi. Hotel is definitely the best in the island. If i could rate over 10, i would have done it. All staff is helpful, smiling, reactive and informative. Food is delicious, rich and fresh. Rooms are wide and clean. Amenities and free coffee/ tea selections in the rooms are nice. Hotel area is so wide that even when the hotel is completely full the beach, pools are not very crowded. We booked for two nights. However we liked the hotel so much that we extended our stay. One more special thanks to Mr Ibrahim the reception cheff for his kind work supporting the guests. He is such a gentle person which every hotel needs. I recommend this perfect hotel to everyone without hesitation. We are sure that we will be back next year.

The cocktails were a bit disappointing and didn’t meet our expectations in terms of taste or quality. Also, we felt that lunch and dinner were quite meat-heavy. It would be great to see more vegetarian options on the menu, as the choices felt a bit limited for those who don’t eat meat.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel. The entertainment was fantastic for both kids and adults – my child especially loved the animation team, who were full of energy, fun, and incredibly engaging. The entire staff was warm, kind, and always ready to assist, which made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thanks to Rafella, who went above and beyond during our stay. When my husband had a minor accident, she was quick to respond, called a doctor, and supported us throughout – we’re so grateful for her care and professionalism.

We honestly can’t think of a single thing we didn’t like.

The food was very diverse and delicious, with options to suit every taste. The hotel is especially suitable for families with children. Having a pool right in front of our room was a big plus, making it easy for the kids to enjoy their time. The evening activities were well-organized and clearly prepared with great effort. In a half-board stay, not even water is included with dinner—an extra charge is applied. In an environment where everything else is so perfect, asking for extra payment for water is disappointing. Water is not a luxury beverage; it is a necessity. I would also like to share an unpleasant experience we had. On the first day, when we asked the reception how to get to the city center, we were directed to taxis and private vehicles. Based on the price information provided and since we were two families with children, we opted for a larger vehicle instead of two taxis and ended up paying €90 for a 15-minute round trip. The next day, thinking it was odd that such a large hotel didn’t offer a shuttle service, we asked again and luckily found out that a bus passes right in front of the hotel and costs only €2 per person. Honestly, this was a big disappointment for us. It was not pleasant for such a large hotel to be making such petty calculations.

Everything was perfect! The food was excellent, and even though the hotel was fully booked, it never felt crowded thanks to the great facilities. There were plenty of pools and restaurants, so we always found space to relax. Highly recommended for families!

Excellent meals with plenty of choices. Lovely to see such variety and lots of Greek options. Great service, with cleanliness and table cleanup very good. Grounds were beautifully maintained. Staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Spa staff in particular were extremely friendly especially Efil and Maria(?). Loved our spa experience.
