The place very clean and close to everything and the stuff very friendly , and the owner and family was very welcoming make us feel like we are home .highly recommended 😀

Everything was perfect! The apartment was spacious, well-equiped, with two beautiful terraces. It is close to the superb beach of Diakofti, and the view is amazing. The cleaning was done very carefuly everyday. Our hosts were great people, friendly, nice and helpful. We hope to return soon at Athena Kythera, as we had a wonderful time here.

We had a fantastic stay in Athena Kythera! The accommodation is well mentained with spacious, air conditioned and very equipped rooms, two balconies and fabulous view. Cleaning and bedding/towels change was done every day. Everything in Diakofti is within walking distance - beaches, mini market, taverna. Good starting point for exploring the island and close to the ferry port. Last but not least, the family that runs the business is very welcoming, hospitable and sweet. We are greatful for all provided information, kindness and true φιλοξενία!

From our experience, the only disadvantage was the distance from the hotel to the south part of the island.

We had such a wonderful time at Athena Hotel in Diakofti. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The rooms are cleaned on daily basis which was a huge plus for us. We always prefer cleanliness over room facilities. There was everything we ever needed. Hosts are wonderful and very kind people. They were very helpful and keen to accomodate all our requests.

Everything was just perfect, people, location, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable, owners thought about every small detail to make their guests comfortable, best beach of the island is just few min walk, port is close also, but it doesn’t affect water and beach in terms of pollution

The location is amazing, near the port and in walking distance from one of the best beaches of the island. The room was huge and clean and it had two balconies one facing the mountain and one facing the sea, which was truly fantastic cause when it was very windy we could choose the back balcony that had 0 wind or vice versa. Every day the cleaning lady would clean the room and the family that owns the place was always there to help us and guide us. We will come again soon. The island and our stay were superb. Thank you.

Spacious and very clean room with a little kitcken. Private balcony wiht a sea view. Staff was very kind and friendly; they gave me a ride to the port. The town is very quiet and peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature (sea and mountains). A good 6km hiking route to another town Avlemonas.

Beautiful place. Helpful, warm and friendly hosts. Nice view. Lovely big room with nice decorations. Very clean and neat. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with toiletries. Kitchenette with everything you need. Washing line off the balcony with basket of pegs. Thoughtfully designed and felt very homely. Can park out front.

Konstantina met us in the enterance of the hotel to greet us. We were placed on the second floor with a beautiful view of the port and had the best suggestions marked on a map. Our rooms were huge, full of everything we could ever need and had the most comfortable beds. We had room cleaning everyday and the whole place was spotless. Our balconies were heavenly in the afternoon to enjoy a cold beer. We were just 5 minutes walk away from the best beach in Kithira and even closer to a great taverna. There is a mini market nearby. We loved this hotel and it’s wonderful owners. We recommend them from the bottom of our hearts.

Everything was perfect. Athena is an exceptional hostess and everything is like new in this 4 year old building. Although Athena doesnt speak much English, her daughter is extremely proficient, and helpful. The view is straight down to the sea to the peaceful port. Best beach with white sand and safe clear water. Manolis restaurant is just down the road and a small supermarket nearby. Cafe on the beach. Lovely place to stay to relax and enjoy the cicadas and otherwise very quiet village.

We had a wonderful stay, great food, beautiful sites, staff at Athena the best I've ever experienced. Everything is accessible, wonderful scenic views and walks.
