How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This isn't about the hotel per se, but good to know in case they can speak to their neighbours - the floor above us was making loud banging noises - not sure if there was a renovation happening, but it wasn't nice waking up to a loud banging noise.
The hotel's location is excellent! Just 2-3 minutes walk to Monastiraki. The room was very spacious, and the bed very comfortable, and big! Christina, the property manager, was very helpful, and would respond to any questions straight away. I would definitely recommend them!

The location was perfect. in the heart of center and within walking distance to everywhere. The room was very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful with everything ❤️

Great location, the room was big and comfortable. Also the amenities were more than expected: coffee machine and kettle for tea, safe, slippers, toothbrush and big hairdryer. I’ll choose it again for my next stay in athens

The bathroom gets very wet when you take a shower. Precautions can be taken.

The suite was amazing, there was more space than we thought both in the room and in the bathroom. The room was beautiful and the bed was really comfortable, we slept really really well! Cleaning was done everyday. The property Manager was really nice and sent us clear instructions for everything. We would definitely book it again if we come back to Athens!

Entrance and the elevator is a bit old but when you get to the floor its brand new and clean.
it is close to everywhere, restaurants shops and acro. Takes only a couple of steps from the metro station directly to airport. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

The building is not very desirable to look at and the entry way needs cleaning to the building. The entry door to the whole building was not locked the whole time we were there and you were supposed to access building with a keypad but you could just push open the door. It would have been more secure if locked. The street is close to Monastriki market and acropolis and easily can get to hop on hop off bus. We felt safe here but the area is not as nice as Playa or Syntagma. I still recommend
We stayed in a superior room. It was excellent, very clean and comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked excellent. No complaints with the room. The manager Christina was very helpful and accommodating.

Heated water in the bathroom would run out very quickly.
Excellent location and very clean suite. The staff was excellent and very helpful. There were blackout curtains in the room. Very good airconditioning.

Everything was good.
We had the pleasure of staying in the Athens Design Studios. The apartment was right in the centre of Athens and close to all amenities. Christine met us on arrival and showed us to the apartment. The access codes were simple and easy to follow. The air conditioning was operating on arrival and the apartment was in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend this place.

Everything was great, except noise especially during the night. There was a lot of traffic, even in the middle of the night, and the windows did not do much to muffle it down. So my partner did not have a good sleep.
Fantastic location, right in the middle of the city. All attractions we visited and restaurants were within walking distance. We were given codes to enter the hotel, and everything worked as expected. Although we didn't see her, our room manager stayed in touch and was very responsive.

The electric tea kettle provided wasn't clean. The only way to get airflow in the room was the open a window, which was quite noisy since we were in a popular area.
The manager contacted me ahead of my stay with instructions on how and when to enter this hidden hotel. She responded to my questions quickly and thoroughly. The room was surprisingly spacious with a vanity outside of the bathroom, which was a good size with a nice, big shower. It's not too far of a walk from public transit or historic locations.

The location is excellent, just a 1-minute walk from Monastiraki Square. The room was clean, and housekeeping serviced it daily. Christina, the property manager, was very kind and always available, willing to help with anything we needed. It's perfect for spending 3-4 days in the city, close to the Metro, great restaurants, rooftop bars, and Ermou Street for shopping. highly recommended

The building did not look good, and it certainly didn’t appear to be a nice hotel until you got to the hotel’s specific floor.
The service was excellent. Location was great. Design of the room was great as well.

Beautifully furnished and super clean. Location is ideal in the middle of Athens most visited sites. Lots of restaurants in the area as well as great shopping. Bed was extremely comfortable and included daily service. Staff was very helpful!
