How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bed mattress was too soft and worn-out. I was told the mattresses were renewed recently however in my room it wasn't the case. Comfortable clean pillows and linens, quiet and still had a good night sleep.
Absolutely delightful hotel. Really beautiful surroundings in an affluent neighborhood. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The facilities are great. Breakfast is basic but delicious. Rooms are super large and comfortable. Will definitely come back.

The hotel could use with a renovation. It is marginally acceptable. Furniture is depressing, and the pool area is not practical at all. However, it is not at a point yet where it is offending. It could run for another 2 or 3 years.
Great Location. Staff is super friendly, laid back but professional and attentive.

The selection for breakfast is a bit limited, and things that run out are not always replaced. The hotel room is not cleaned unless you request it, and the water and coffee that is provided on the first day is not replaced unless you ask. Not really a problem, but a bit annoying in a 5 star hotel. The area round the pool steps is very slippy, and needs some attention.
The hotel is laid out well, the gardens are lovely. It is clean and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

We arrived at Life Gallery Athens at 5am feeling wretched after 24 hours of flight delays and little sleep and they looked after us like family with a thoughtful snack bag, generous late checkout and a lovely warm welcome. We crashed out in our rooms and loved waking up to the views and sitting by the pool in the beautifully landscaped garden. We were just sad we didn't have more time to enjoy it all. Thanks to all the staff that made this hotel feel more like a home.

The time for the use of the swimming pool was not good, we try to visit early on the day all that Athens had to offer and when we were able to came back to relax at the hotel one of the main attractions of the hotel the swimming pool was closed.
The breakfast was very good, with a big variety to choose, the personal keep it clean, and always provided more supplies. I like the use of real plates and silverware and the constant supply of coffee, including the Greek coffee.

I was taken back to wait two days for the Jacuzzi then find out it cost 50 eurs every use.in all hotels the Jacuzzi and pools are part of the paid stay.sad dissatisfied.
Our stay was great, we had a nice room, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great. The room was clean with a beautiful view.

Not much,perhaps only that the rooms are just a little bit older than they look in the pictures but not a major issue.
The location is just amazing,you get energized by all the trees and nature.Beautiful to look outside your window if you have the mountain view.Quiet place to unwind away from the city noise.

The only thing which I think hotel needs to improve is some small room details (for example the shower floor gaps were a bit dirty because of being old) . It’s 5 star hotel so I think the smallest details matter. It’s not like it bothered me but just a recommendation.
The view was so nice from our room. The big plus is that the hotel is far away from Athens centre so you can’t hear car sounds or people speaking it was so peaceful and calm especially if you live in Athens centre like us. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and the hotel left in our room a complimentary champagne and fruits which was really nice. Also the stuff members are so nice and polite.

Very nice hotel. Stayed for a business trip. The staff was very professional and discrete. Rooms well equiped and quiet. Pool is closed during winter so i didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

The hotel overall is a little dated but that seems to be the norm in Greece unless you go very high end. The spa staff and treatments were excellent but the hammam and jacuzzi facilities left a lot to be desired - water tepid, needs renovation.
The staff went above and beyond during our one night stay. They were extremely friendly and courteous. They discovered it was my partner's birthday and surprised him with a bottle of prosecco and a desert with a candle - so thoughtful! We also had a great massage in the spa. The location is not bad but you need a car to get around.

The hotel seems to have been renovated recently but the room needs a bit or renovation, especially the Shower. It would be great if the room had a smart tv instead of a regular one. Balcony furniture also need an update.
Very comfortable room and great service. We stayed in the Physis Suite. The room was spacious and with lovely design, we liked the leafy outlook and the great amenities (we had everything we needed). Breakfast was great too. I know the location very well, as I used to live in the area, but it is a great location out of the center of Athens.
