How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Main entrance door was found open twice … shower door broken, door handle apartment door fell off, I am not sure the aircon had been on as the apartment was very hot and took a long time to cool
Location was good, property was ok but pics def better than the actual flat

The room is a bit small but we didn't stay long so it wasn't really an issue for us.
Room is easy to access and the location is on point if you want to enjoy nightlife in Athens as it's located near some of the busy streets. It was small but clean and the bathroom was perfect.

The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos, and the bed was a bit small and old-fashioned, but still comfortable enough for one night
This place was the perfect choice for a short stay! The location is absolutely amazing — right next to the main shopping street and surrounded by great food spots. The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos, but the bathroom was very clean and well-maintained. We stayed for just one night, and choosing this place was definitely the right decision.

The cost was on the high side, could have been cleaner and could have been better maintained (one toilet was out of order) but all in all i would still recommend it for big families who want to stay together.
Central property and quite spacious with a well organized check in. Owner is quite responsive to messages. We did very much appreciate the use of the luggage storage area which is very useful for whoever has late flights.

Wear and tear water towel whit hole no balcony ,bath sliding had to put towels for not slide,,boiler rusty into ,I send message was scare the first night wrote to what happen nobody answer me ,cover stain ,nobody in front .anyway I make it the best cannot recommend to anyone, and curtain was broken .have nice day

I like there is luggage storage at this place, but they are not individual lockers. It is a storage room and every guest has a code to access. However, the guests do not mess the code after accessing the key leaving the code open to public. I felt a little worried when leaving my luggages there.
Spacious room and central location in old town. Lots of restaurants nearby. 24 hour virtual support through WhatsApp

Everything was fine, just the room was a bit small, the terrace is bigger than the room itself which was not a problem for me. The door handle wasn’t functioning properly
Nice building, perfect location in a very central neighbourhood at a fair price. You can walk everywhere from here. We got our room cleaned every day, new towels everyday. Would definitely recommend.

The windows are not sound proof at all and as it was in the center it was so noisy i couldnt sleep at all in the morning. You should put double windows

Instructions how to put on hot water and how the cleaning lady's blamed us that we broke the bathroom door knob. And the bathroom sink..

Conflicting information regarding check out time, meaning the cleaner turned up before we had left. Quite noisy at night.
Great location for exploring the Acropolis. Good spaces. Cool to be able to go up to the rooftop and get peeps of the Acropolis.
