Unique property close to Fira, great views and private pool a bonus. Very accommodating storing our bags before and after our stay.

We found the rooms quite hot. Kitchen lacked items to make a meal if you wanted to.

Enrik was excellent. We arrived late in the evening and he met us with the room key as soon as I notified him that we had arrived. He was also really helpful with suggestions for places to go (beach clubs, restaurants) and was able to provide transportation (at a very reasonable cost) to/from the beach club. Additional plus, he had a kitty named Bonnie who was too cute for words. Aura Caves is also close to the main Fira area... shops, restaurants, church, etc.

The place is built into the mountain. There was one air conditioner right when you walked through the front door to the unit but only fans (and dehumidifiers) in the bedrooms. In the heat of the summer, this is a challenge. Also, in my opinion, Aura Caves would not be appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. Luggage has to be carried/pulled up a street to get to Enrik's unit (the closest thing to a front desk) and, unless you are staying in one of the two units in the same area as Enrik's unit, you will be lugging your bags up steep steps (no handrails, etc).

Nothing we were unable to stay due to the overbearing mold smell. Instant reaction from the mold present. We were not putting our family at risk staying here, being on this island and wanting to actually enjoy our stay.

We were unable to stay in this room due to the overbearing mold smell. They had every fan, humidifiers, air con, window and doors open and on but the smell of mold was still horrible. We couldn’t breathe. We spoke with the lovely cleaner who agreed that the smell hits you in the face as soon as you step into apartment. When we spoke with the manager he agreed to refund our money as we had to book else where due to it being inhabitable. Then when we moved he and the owners retracted their offer of refund. There is also a dangerous water well in the apartment that isn’t mentioned anywhere. Don’t stay here is you want to be able to enjoy your holiday and not get sick, and having respiratory and other problems. We are still struggling to get our money back, we paid so much for this apartment, we were really looking forward to it , only to end in a nightmare. When we booked down the road the reception lady knew exactly what we were talking about. Apparently all these rooms have mold problems. Do your self a favour and book a nice hotel. And not these mold ridden ones.

Unusual, something completely different. We loved it.

The decoration was nice and having the cat around was fun also. Location was ok, bit of a walk up the hill with bags. Out plane was delayed but they had someone meet us quite late.

The pool wasn't clean and usable for the family. The booking mentioned a bottle of wine which we never received. With the two mentioned above would not book again the same price unfortunately

Amazing customer service!! Enrik went above and beyond to make our stay great! Awesome cave villa with a private pool! Beds were very comfortable! Lots of pillows and blankets.

Great property!

The manager and his staff are exceptional and responsive. They struck the perfect balance of sharing their wealth of knowledgeable while giving us privacy. And staying in a cave is so cool.

Loved everything.

My sister and I have just returned from 4 nights at the Aura Caves. We had the Passion Cave. We were delighted with the accommodation, very quirky in a rustic authentic style... Excellent peaceful location for everything Fira offered. The caves were clean and comfortable. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen was fully equipped. The small, private outdoor pool was lovely, an excellent sun bathing spot. The host Enrik was very efficient in booking a catermaran sunset cruise, an evening meal at Amoudia Bay Fish Restaurant ( highly recommended)for dinner and taxing us there and back to Oia... overall a lovely experience in beautiful Santorini.

The property looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean and a perfect location. The owner was wonderful and answered “what’s app” texts very fast. He showed us everywhere we should visit and helped carry our suitcases up the big hill. 10/10 would recommend.

The location is amazing.

There was misleading regarding the apartment description, as it said that the apartment had air conditioning, but in reality, there was only one air conditioner in the living room, which did not cover the rooms. The owner refused to cancel the reservation and refund the amount, and the booking company was unhelpful in this regard.

The location was good and close to everything. The host was very helpful and offered many recommendations of the Island during our stay.

The cave room was very humid and smelt badly. We had to keep the dehumidifier on all the time during our stay. The towels were also old and looked like they were starting to deteriorate.

5 mins from the main square yet quiet enough to be 'away from the hustle'

We liked everything! It was amazing! If I had to name a small improvement, it would be a kettle & toaster but that's only because we're English & like our tea & toast! Not a criticism though...when in Rome!

Our three-night stay at Aura Cave in Fira was nothing short of exceptional. The property is historic and beautifully designed, offering a unique and exciting ambiance that perfectly complements the charm of Santorini. The host was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, assisting with bookings for activities and tours and even offering to drive and pick us up when needed, a thoughtful gesture given the limited Uber services on the island. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a special stay in Santorini!

Nothing to remark about.

In the summer I’m sure the pool would be fun to have, but it was too cold when we were there (and thus it was rightfully closed). It was nice having two full bathrooms for us. It was very clean. The host was helpful when we had trouble with the internet.

First - I rarely give much in the way of negative reviews. However I did not like taking a barely lukewarm shower. We were not given any instructions on how to get hot water if the solar didn’t work, and when I was standing naked waiting on hot water I wasn’t keen to re-dress to see if I could find someone to help. It’s also really cave-like - meaning that there are not enough windows (or really any windows) to have any air circulation so it was musty smelling and humid. I should have realized that from the photos perhaps, but didn’t think it would be that uncomfortable. It’s picky, but the bathroom mirror was so low i had to squat to see myself (I’m 5’10”). I felt the beds were too firm but my partner slept well - so that’s definitely a personal preference thing. It took us some time to find someone to let us into our room. It was off season so that does explain some things, but if you aren’t prepared for offseason guests, don’t offer the accommodation. I’m really not sure how it is rated as 4 stars.

Great location just outside the busy tourist area. Host was amazing - friendly, and easy to communicate with. Apartment was just like photos and as described, we couldn't have been happier.
