How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewHeaven on Earth, all we can say. The place is located in an idyllic set-up right near the Temple of Demeter, far away from any touristy agitation. Never slept so well like we did there and the breakfast feels like a true ceremony, setting a relaxing pace for your entire day. Dimitri is simply the most amazing host and his attention to details beats all other 5 stars hotels we tested so far.
Tried to find something wrong but there was absolutely nothing 😍

Verified reviewWe had the immense pleasure of staying at Ayiopetra for 4 unforgettable days, and it’s safe to say it may be the most special place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by everyone that we immediately felt at home. Nestled in a breathtaking valley surrounded by historic landmarks and serene landscapes, Ayiopetra is not just a hotel—it’s a heartfelt experience. The rooms were spotless, incredibly comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything (and more) you could possibly need. Every detail is cared for with love and intention. Mornings started with an abundant breakfast full of fresh, delicious variety—including homemade jams by Tonia, the incredible owner, that were nothing short of amazing. Tonia is the soul of Ayiopetra. Her warmth, grace, and deep joy in sharing this beautiful place she has so lovingly built truly shine through. And Katerina, with her radiant smile and boundless positivity, lights up the entire atmosphere every single day. The team’s thoughtful recommendations—from restaurants to beaches—were spot on and made our experience in the island even more special. We left already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for making us feel so welcome Thank you for making us feel like part of the family.

Verified reviewBeautiful location, very central in the middle of the island, hidden, with very romantic mountain views... The staff is extremely helpful with tips about everything you may need. Very nice welcome with a home made pie. Also the breakfast is a key concept in this hotel, served in various courses, you need to take your time to enjoy it, very fresh and tasty local ingredients and it is an excellent way to start your day. We normally spent 1.5 hours enjoying breakfast and the tranquility of the area combined with great landscape views. In addition, the rooms are beautifully decorated, I have never seen so much attention to detail at any hotel I have visited. Also the beds are very comforatble.
Nothing. In the future, maybe they can add room service to their services, but in the island of Naxos, which is famous for its food and cheeses, there are excellent restaurants where you can enjoy a gastronomic dinner.

Verified reviewEverything. From the warm greetings and farewells that we got from the owners, to the breakfasts and quiche, to the stunning and peaceful grounds that are dotted with olive trees, cows and sheep. We didn't want to leave. We also made some friends who enjoyed Naxos and the stay at Ayiopetra as much as we did! We hope to be back someday soon!

Verified reviewAyiopetra Exclusive Getaways exceeded all of our expectations and made the final stop on our honeymoon truly unforgettable, so much so that we are already plotting our trip back to this magical place. Our favorite part of our vacation was the 5- course breakfast offered here each morning; we especially loved that everything we ate was sourced straight from Sagri or surrounding villages and baked fresh each day on-site. The overall design and location was also unparalleled, nestled in the valley and surrounded by sheep, rolling hills, and olive groves. Finally, the client service offered here is truly one-of-a kind. Upon arriving, we were provided with a carefully curated list of recommendations for what to see and eat in Naxos, which we followed religiously and were never disappointed. Safe to safe we will be back soon; thank you again for a truly 5-star stay!

Verified reviewAyiopetra is such a beautiful place in the most serene area of Naxos. My husband and I felt so exclusive there and completely relaxed just sitting out on our deck or the pool area staring out into the beautiful olive tree groves and rolling hills. The service was wonderful too! The breakfast was out of this world (with the added benefit of their sweet dog fudge sitting by your side)… and Dimitri gives you wonderful suggestions for activities and places to eat (just follow his suggestions you can’t go wrong!) Definitely a 10/10 experience that you MUST go to. We can’t wait to come back someday soon :)
