My room was quite ‘humble’, which is totally okay for me, but I can imagine some might be left wanting more - even just small details, furnishing, and small touches.

It is very central and has an incredible view! The rooms have everything you need as a base to explore the island and feel comfortable.

The location was great. We walked to Chora. We had a car so drove around the island to different beaches. The staff were great.

Small bathroom without window and a curtain on the shower. Bad smell because of humidity. A renovation would be a good idea because the room is a bit old.

Location is ideal - less than 5 minutes walk from the city centre with a great view to the castle. The room was big with all the necessary equipment.

It was all fine.

View from the balcony is stunning and lovely at night too with the lights and the castle lit up. Tom was clean and neat. Easy access with key in lockbox. Front door of room is on the edge of the road but once inside it’s surprisingly quiet. Christina was helpful answering messages. Parking near the property can be tricky at times but there is a huge free carpark 5 mins up the hill.

Not very modern decor. An update would make it a 5 star place to stay!

Convenient location - steps away from Chora with all the restaurants and shops. AmaIng views on Kapsali beach and the castle. Most of all, really amazing host - Christina and her colleagues made this stay very comfortable and memorable.

Unfortunately, the room has not been refurbished for many years. Room is very dark, felt a bit dumb, and our air-condition was running the first day we arrived. Someone, did come and fix it after we call them. We did not enjoy our stay at Belverde it requires some serious renovation and clear the pipes and air-condition as it results in a weird odour in the room. We ended up spending as little time as possible in the room as it was very depressing being in there and the money we paid do not represent the room and its condition.

The view is the only thing we liked during our stay and the host was overall polite and did made sure to go out of her way to give us a t-shirt we forgot in the room.

The apartment was very old time Greece and could do with modernisation. The accommodation has minimal facilities- two tea spoons, two knives and forks etc. There are key items missing which are standard elsewhere : no microwave, no safe, very small catering space and limited cooking equipment, no clothes airier to dry beach wear and clothes. The used toilet paper bin was not emptied everyday and there was no bin outside to do this yourself. The village of Chora had a good pizza restaurant and one taverna with a limited menu - no red wine, ate there once only.

The view and sitting on the small balcony on days it wasn’t windy. This is the main USP of this apartment.

there were not many restaurants open at this time but one could purchase food from store and cook as kitchen was equipped to cook.

view from balcony stunning. was easy to locate. I got sick from something and the host went above and beyond to have medicine, water, tea bags delivered to me then called a taxi to take me to the airport. kind, help and sympathetic. I had another trip scheduled so it was imperative to catch the flight back to Athens as the next one was 2 days later.

Everything was perfect.

The view was outstanding and the room was quite big with all the necessary equipment and hotel essentials. We had excellent communication with the hostess and she gave us great recommendations during our staying. Perfect location - less than 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Very quiet and clean place, with very kind staff that was taking care of our room and changing our bedsheets and towels every day. The airco was working perfectly fine and we had hot water throughout the day and night. There is also a kitchen in the room that we did not use, however, it facilitates your accomodation in case you want to stay longer and need to cook there etc. We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. Thank you for making our trip to Kythera so wonderful and memorable! Hope to see you again soon!
