How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful, unobstructed caldera view, equipped with table ware for dining on the terrace, good location in Imerovigli, hosts were responsive on whatsapp, spacious bathroom
Serious maintenance issues affected the stay—tattered towels, an unclean terrace, rusty wine chalices, exposed cables, stained outdoor furniture, and a moldy air conditioning unit. Wifi so slow that it was unusable.

Verified reviewThe location was incredible, very sizeable bathroom and a comfortable bed.
Firstly, the hot tub is not a hot tub - it is a pool which is fine on a hot day but not fine at night. Secondly, the porter broke my partner’s suitcase and we were happy to transport the bags ourselves, if only we could have been provided with clearer directions. The location also essentially requires you to get a paid transfer to the property, though the price of such is on par with market rate and was helpful. The internet speed is also incredibly poor.

Verified reviewThe location was great, sitting on the balcony it was quiet and calm. The room doesn’t feel cramped, the bathroom is beautiful with a great shower. Lots of baggage and bench space. Katerina is amazing, great communication and efficiently organised car transfers for us! Highly recommend!

Verified reviewThe host met us when we arrived, so retrieving keys was easy. She explained everything about the room/stay to us. The best part about this property is the incredible views! We wanted a place to rest and the balcony was wonderful. We could use the pool/lounge area at the nextdoor hotel which we did on our final checkout day. We had a late checkout, but then spent the afternoon at the pool before our evening flight. We loved Imerovigli - it was a small town with all we needed and MUCH less busy than cruise ship towns of Fira and Oia.
It included a breakfast at the next door hotel which was only mediocre. I would skip that next time and get food in town or from the local bakery which delivers. The room was adequate, but nothing special. The room always felt a bit damp as well and there were limited places to hang things like swimsuits and towels.

Verified reviewMy mum and I loved everything at this property, especially including THE MANAGER Tamara, who made our stay more than exceptional. From greeting through communication and organizational skills to absolute professionalism, I have never experienced such a person loving her job. Big thank you. Location, view, service, room, breakfast were just fabulous. I can come back anytime if I could! I highly recommend this hotel in a quiet area of Santorini, but still full of restaurants, shops, and close to public transport if needed.

Verified reviewLoved the views from the room and the general area it was located in. The staff was super friendly and responsive. Close to many restaurants and several mini markets. Pick up for taxis/shuttles is very convenient right up the hill. Bed was comfortable! Easy 25-30 min walk to Fira on a pedestrian path.
The only downside was the shower did not stay hot for long, so we had to take quick showers. Everything else made up for that one inconvenience.

Verified reviewThe location and the view were excellent. The manager, Tamara, was very nice and very helpful.
The smell of sewer gas coming from the bathroom due to a lack of sink trap. We had to keep the stopper shut with water in the sink to keep the smell at bay. In addition, the lounge chairs were so dirty that when my husband sat in one, there was orange/rust stains on his pants, either due to bronzer or rust. In addition, the property lists that each room has a safety deposit box multiple times in its description on Booking, com. We did not have one in the room and the manager told us they just decided to take them out because guests were leaving things in them, and that hiding a laptop under the mattress works just as well. This really was an inconvenience to us, because we booked this place in part, because it listed that each room had one. Finally, we found trash from the previous guests under the bed - open jam container, slippers, water bottles. You can absolutely find a better option in the area. This place is overpriced and the lounge chairs and hot tub look old and kind of dirty. Tamara did the best she could to welcome us, but she couldn't fix these issues.

Verified reviewI did not like that I couldn't set the pool temperature down for the daytime and couldn't set it up to 37C degrees for the evening. Everyone walked down could view in our private space from the steps. Could be better privacy. Only 2 coffee capsules per stay (the cheapest ones). Litters down there, even we've seen the neighbours cleaning staff through down a plastic bag (purposely). (On the picture)

The room wasn't ready when we arrived, hence the overall score is 9. Other than that great overall value.

Verified reviewBest hotel in the area! Tamara is absolutely amazing explaining everything. The room with the hot tub has the perfect privacy and sunset view. Note: Give a try to Ilios Bakery, we have ordered dinner all evenings (nice food and adjusted prices)

Verified reviewLocation was great, beautiful view of the Caldera sunsets, and near restaurants and a 20 min walk to Fira. Tamara was extremely helpful answering questions and going out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The room we stayed in had a private hot tub, outdoor table and chairs and 2 lounge chairs just outside our door and overlooking the Caldera. Additionally, there was a large private patio just down a few stairs with 2 chairs and small table with an unobstructed view of the Caldera and beautiful sunsets. This really was a bonus. We knew about Ilios upon arrival but didn’t realize how beneficial their food and free delivery was until late in our stay. We should have used them like room service for those times when you don’t want to go out to a restaurant. Their prices are reasonable and they deliver right to your door.

Verified reviewModern facility, nice decorated room, impeccable cleanliness, spacious private outdoor jacuzzi, amazing panoramic caldera view, in a quiet area of Imerovilgi, maybe the best part of Santorini to enjoy unique views and experiences.
The lack of shutters in our room. Some light curtains are installed, which let enough light through.
