How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe design is considered, resulting in a 'want for nothing' stay. Sun drenched and everything provided in the suite made Calma feel like home which ensured we were relaxed immediately. Breakfast is generous and wonderful to enjoy in the outside space which has the option of sun and shade. Communication with Nico was exceptional. A designated parking spot. Great location providing privacy and ease to main stores via car.
Having to leave, of course. One thing, having to remember to put the key in the door when we are outside as there is no handle which made it a little stressful at times, thinking we had closed the door (Milos cats like to visit).

Suite is a bit far to walk to and from the nearest town. There is no gate from the terrace entrance to the side road which is mostly fine because it is tucked away, but one of neighbours dogs likes to come and sniff around sometimes

Pool very very cold with no heater. Not as private as thought as people were walking in the gravel at the front of the seating area whilst trying to relax. Location is a lot further away from the port than thought - meaning a car was essential.

Verified review- Nikos has been a great host and helped us a lot especially he picked us up from the port as the property is 20 min walk from there and deopped us at the aiport - Nikos also advised us on the best locations to go on the island - Amazing facilities with nice swimming pool and view from the room which is brand new - bedroom very clean and nice shower
Nothing but few things could have been even better: - when we arrived the swimming pool was not hot and this process took the night (could have been great to start it before we arrive to enjoy the facilities straight away) - the check out time is too early (11am) we would have liked to enjoy a bit more the swimming pool on last day - the breakfast could have a bit more options for eggs type and coffee

Verified reviewWe booked calma suites last minute due to our ferry off the island being cancelled because of high winds. We stayed for 2 nights, and after staying at 2 suites on Milos, we think calma was by far our favourite and much better value for money. The suite is beautifully decorated and also very practical, it is well equipped with everything you need. The terrace/pool area is sheltered from NE winds, is very private with no properties overlooking, and is even more beautiful than photos can show. The bed is very comfortable and the air con very effective. The location is great if you have a vehicle (which I think is necessary to properly enjoy the island), it’s only 5 minutes from the Adamas port and restaurants. And a short drive to the main attractions on the north/south coast. Breakfast is prepared to order from a sheet given to the owners the day before, and brought to your terrace at a time of your choosing. The food was great and plentiful. You can have as much coffee as you please from the machine/kettle in the room. They were even kind enough to bring us breakfast very early (6.50am) on our second morning so that we could eat before catching our early ferry - this was a bonus for us as we find most places in Greece will serve breakfast from 8.00am. Service was excellent, we were greeted by the owners father on arrival, shown how everything works. And from then we communicated with the owner via WhatsApp tor anything we needed. The room was serviced/bins emptied while we were out for the day. All round it is a perfect place to stay on Milos, I would recommend to anyone.

Verified reviewabsolutely amazing experience! the place was so clean and absolutely beautiful. Niko was outstanding! he met us at check in had traditional Greek drinks for us waiting and a few other complimentary things! He went over a map and the most popular beach’s for us to check out. For breakfast we had a menu to pick what we wanted and what time we wanted it and it was delivered in a cute basket every morning!! highly recommend anyone who’s taking a trip or going to Milos stay with Niko!!

Verified reviewEverything about this place was amazing. The photos you are scrolling through do not do it justice. Telling you first hand. Your experience will be better than what you have in your head. This place is centrally located on the island, 15 minute drive to anywhere. A family operated joint, Nikos and Co. can take care of any need you might have, along with breakfast prepared every morning. Gorgeous views, immaculate lighting, and comfortability, amongst other things. Oh the dip pool is deeper than you’d expect. Visited other islands on our trip and nothing compared to what the Calma Suite Milos provided. Have already talked about booking another trip out there. Also, sidenote, they have a couple of little dogs on the property who love belly rubs. I’m getting carried away, do yourself a favor and stay here! LOVE THIS PLACE! -Ryan Erie

Verified reviewStay at Calma Suite is the best choice while you’re on Milos. ☺️🥰 Apartment is amazing, beautifully design, well equipped. There is everything you need. Pool is spacious, space outside is perfectly designed to relax. Neighbourhood is quite and private. View from the apartment is mesmerising. What is also amazing is breakfast - fresh, tasty and each time can be different based on survey. The best part of the stay was hospitality of Nikos and his family - they were helpful and communicative. I highly recommend to choose this place. For sure I will go back there as this is the best choice on Milos to stay. ✨

Verified reviewOur stay at Calma Suite Milos was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived the hospitality and friendliness of Niko was exceptional. The suite was beautiful and very spacious. It was brand new with great attention to detail and the finishings and styling were stunning. The pool was great and very decent size for a private pool. Each morning we received a delicious breakfast with a range of options. The location is close to the main town but far enough away to feel very private. We could not recommend Calma Suite more!
There is nothing that could be improved - everything was excellent and in perfect condition. The hospitality provided by Niko could not have been better!

Really high quality and so nice and clean. The area was safe and quiet whilst being central enough to Milos port. Nikos’ family was incredible and so helpful the entire time!
