How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe room was a good size for our family of 4. The pool was small (as expected) but the kids had fun in it to cool down. We were close to a few nice restaurants and the hop on hop off bus. Staff were great at arranging taxi to the port. Good stay for a couple of days

Verified reviewThe rooftop terrace is lovely when you find the quieter section with a stunning view of the Parthenon. They serve a very nice Aperol Spritz and the Tortillas and Guacamole were the best I've had in years!
For some reason, they put me in a room with a disabled wet room instead of a bathroom. That meant everything got wet when I had a shower. The bed was very firm - maybe that's a requirement for the disabled but I found it uncomfortable, staying for two nights.

Verified reviewThe pool and rooftop patio was the best feature of this hotel. We had a newly renovated family room with 2 rooms which worked really well for our family of 4. Rooms were spacious and had everything we expected. Staff was friendly and helped us anytime we had questions.
The bathroom was really small for a family room. Every morning there was cigarette smell coming to the room. We didn’t know if if came through some vents or AC but we had to open windows every morning to air out the rooms. Location is a bit sketchy so you need to walk until you get to a more touristy area or take metro.

Verified reviewThe room is very clean, beds are comfortable. Decor is nice and relaxing. Check-in easy. All staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful. There is also cool fruity water you can drink freely at lobby. Rooftop terrace has a swimming pool with beautiful view especially at night. We did really enjoy our stay in Athens.
Location is not far from metro station which is great point. However when we have dinner in some restaurants in neighbourhood they warned us to pay attention because there's lot of pickpockets arround... There's some noise at night and in early morning arround 7 a.m from the room above us. Someone pulled something on the ground noisilly... I don't know what they did at night or such early morning but that happened 2 days like that and we were awaked by that noise. Maybe the hotel should put some rubber little pieces under the chairs the tables...to avoid that kind of noise ?

Verified reviewThree person accommodation but very low grade and over priced. Breakfast was plentiful delicious and staff was very friendly and helpful.
The non renovated rooms were very low budget, loud, smelly, uncomfortable and cheap The small pool was packed with people like a giant hot-tub and unpleasant Neighborhood is not nice and I recommend taking taxis everywhere

Verified reviewRoom was well equipped, with good bathroom facilities. Accessible from either Larissa or Metaxagourgeio train station. 2 lifts, although they were not overly big, they did fit 2 large cases and 2 people. Used the Suburban line from Athens airport to Larissa station, which was an affordable easy way to get to the hotel.
There is very little sound-proofing in the room and there were kids in the next room making lots of noise, which meant a very late night. Nothing in the area and it didn’t feel overly safe.

Verified reviewThe food at the bar and pool area on the roof top was very good. The pool was just right for hot summer nights in Athens. The view of the acropolis is awesome. The staff at the front desk were great. The bartenders were the best. I would stay here again.
The rooms and bathrooms are nothing special. The buffet breakfast was nothing to write home about.

Booked a family room for 4, given two singles- annoying with one suitcase. Wish it was closer to centre- not far but feels it when it’s so hot!

Verified reviewVery nice roof terasse with good view of the city and the swimming pool that was much appreciated by the kids after hot day in Athens. Very easy access to the city center by public transport. I have a feeling, that the hotel was further improved (roof terrace) compared to our visit three years ago. No complaints, just compliments!
The room was tidy enough to my expectations, but a bit of extra attention here and there in the room would do no harm. Having said that, my kids and myself would definitely choose the hotel again.
