The Balcony was great and had a beautiful view of the harbour. The location was close to all the restaurants and beach. The hosts were welcoming , met us on arrival, and they let us know that if there were any issues, we could contact them 24/7

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect.

An exceptional property that was faultless in all aspects - we have never stayed in better accommodation. We could see from the property descriptions, photos and traveller reviews that it was likely to be very good, but our high expectations were exceeded - it was so spacious, comfortable, homely and secure, and the hosts were on hand in the other half of the property to help with any advice or issues. Also, the on-street parking was plentiful and easy. If only all holiday accommodation could be this good.

Angela was a very friendly, welcoming and helpful host. The accommodation was fantastic, and in an ideal loaction.

It could do with a microwave

Great location 1 minute walk from Sami beach. At the end of town so not noisy. Property has 3 balconies. Extremely clean and comfortable. Has everything you need to enjoy the delights of Sami whether you want to eat out or cook in. So many tavernas to choose from.

Air con machine lit up and it created a bright light in the room - only a minor annoyance . Shower needs to be more powerful Other than that would give it 10/10

Lovely hosts we booked last minute (an hour before) and they were very accommodating . There was plenty of room, super clean with an absolutely fantastic balcony with stunning views- perfect if you want to self cater .

Excellent apartment with great facilities and wonderful view from the balconies. Lovely friendly family that owned Captain's Gem, they made us feel very welcome. .If we ever come back to Sami, this will be our first choice to stay.

No complaints, no improvements needed. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Captain’s Gem.

Captain’s Gem and the town of Sami was our favorite location during our two-week tour across Greece (it is our new home away from home). Great location, beautiful rooms, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The accommodations and the view of the harbor is exceptional. The host was excellent. Very clean, spacious, and modern accommodations. They even had a washing machine which was very handy for freshening up our clothing after the first eleven days of our trip.

As in many places, there are barking dogs at night!!

The apartment is right on the seafront, but was slightly out of the main area, so was very quiet. It is over a bar which played music during the day, but not loud. The hosts live next door, so were available for should there be any problems. Also parking is readily available outside the apartment.

Decor not to our taste, main bedroom a bit stuffy despite air con and no blinds on window just transparent net curtains. Smell from bar/restaurant downstairs.

Location for 1 night stay on way back from ithaca. Easy parking and located on main street across from bay and ferry. Very clean.
