How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very narrow street to arrive there, best to park your car as early as possible. Would be nice to have fly nets on the windows.

Verified reviewLove the suite. It was perfect. The indoor pool was amazing. We did not want to leave. It is so nice. Breakfast was a 10/10. The lady who made us the breakfast was really nice and kind.
Location is not in the centre but was not a problem for us since we rented motors. You have to either rent a car, taxi or motor to be able to visit other towns.

At the start ive request a cot on booking .com page didn't provide us the cot on my arrival alex didn't explain how to ajust the spa temperature in suites 2 door number 2 couple time it was cold the water and on 29th october the spa water was cold all night did ask alex how to adjust the temperature he didn't really understand me he say the control is in the room for the spa but wasn't and didn't even come to see me . on the terrace we couldn't get access to the jacuzzi it locked up by a gate only the owner have the key was disappointment on the booking. Com page you clearly see jacuzzi on the terrace. Valentina drop the breakfast i did ask about how to add up the inside spa temperature she say it automatic I think they control the spa temperature from outside. So alex say another thing she say another thing . One day the pancake was raw but did replace after contac valentina. And I want to say to alex as I say before don't ever debit accommodation fee on customer bank account or credit card before contacting the customer and my approval twice alex donne it without my approval first don't ever do that when customer ask you if you want the money in cash in sterling money you need ti give your answer don't just gi ahead debit the money on customer account without her knowing and then after transactions you send me a text to say say ive have nothing to pay all payments been made that wrong.on our last day i did text alex and valentina where to left the suites key alex text me back if I can deliver the key to him that wrong and then valentina reply left it in the suites. One day I have to ask for nice or milk because wasn't given. Lack of English language from the owner it difficult to understand each other lack of communication and understanding.
Hello , first of all , you didn’t ask for any cot , I told you many times through phone calls , messages , face to face that the temperature of the jacuzzi is managed from a separate control room , it’s not my responsibility if you don’t know very good English. The terrace is space free for all to use , further up dear ketsia is a jacuzzi for a different room I’ve told you that also. Before coming to our hotel , almost 2 months you started texting us , and calling us in order to pay smaller amounts every other time and we agreed besides it being against our hotel policy , your first request was to withdraw a small amount , so I did, every time you requested a withdraw , we made it happen and , after every successful transaction we sent the receipt , but you can’t understand that Greece , the country I’m living in, the country I work , is part of the European government , so we use EURO , and it’s different from sterling pounds. When the small amounts added up to the total amount I texted you and said the last payment was maid , you don’t have to pay anything else , how could that be wrong? I think my responsibility is to inform every qeust when it comes to payments. When you asked through WhatsApp, where to leave the keys , I told you “ you can hand them over to me “ , I was there in the hotel , and on your way out you could perfectly hand them over to me. You are the one you lack English knowledge, as I was talking to you where wondering and looking around as if you knew what I was saying to you. Also I want to mention that the first day you came to our hotel, I explained everything. The next day you used the towels to whip your child’s poop dear ketsia , I threw them in the garbage and I didn’t charge you , also your kids under your prevalence drew everywhere across the rooms and the walls and you left the rooms in a big mess. You should have more respect for other peoples work because someone fought to build this hotel and when people like you come , it’s unfortunate. Thank you

Verified reviewVery nice apartment in the Vothonas village, which is close to Thira, but still keeps the authenticity of the old Greek village. The structure is very nice, new and well kept, with few apartments centered around a common area, very quiet. We were 3 people and had a 1-bedroom apartment consisting of master bedroom, a large living room with 2 extra sofa beds, kitchen and TV (with Netflix), a very nice terrace with private jacuzzi and sunbeds, one large bathroom/WC. The apartment is spacious with nice furniture and kitchen (but not for cooking, only coffee machine and microwave – so if you intend to cook this is not the right place). It was all perfect. Bathroom is in between terrace and rest of the apartment, not ideal, but still you will only be staying there for a week or so and there was no other way for the property to adjust rooms, so you can surely live with that without too much trouble for a few days. Ahhh, beds are very comfy! Not of secondary importance. There is also a safe in the apartment. Property managers (a local young lady) are friendly and will accommodate your needs. Regarding breakfast, pls consider that there is no restaurant area as such and that every day breakfast will be brough to your door. Food and beverage brought for breakfast are every day different, which is great if you’d like to taste all possible variances. I would recommend speaking with the manager at your arrival if you have any food intolerances or you don’t eat certain type of foods and they will accommodate your needs. Location is a few km from most famous beaches, still I’d recommend renting vehicle, even if the island is not huge. Apartment highly recommended.

Verified reviewVery clean large space with everything you need for a short stay. Staff were lovely especially Valedina who helped us with our bags and was very welcoming.
We, unfortunately, were not aware of the steep path leading up to the hotel. We are older travellers and found the walk up to the hotel a real challenge! Between Valedina, Helena ( not sure we have the names quite right sorry) and the taxi driver we managed.

The room is beyond my expectations, smells like a spa everyday. Overall beyond my expectations! Thanks to Valentina too who accommodated us since day one.

Verified reviewI loved the spacious room and terrace access with a beautiful view. So much attention to detail with our stay; All amenities are hotel standard coffee, water, and usual toiletries. The breakfast was lovely. There were different options given through the great communication on WhatsApp with the owner. Also, we received a parting gift, which was an incredible detail.
Transport links aren't easy, so walking and taxi are your options. Thankfully, Valentina (owner) arranged travel arrangements with a local cab.
