We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and spacious and we were greeted by the owner Alexia, who was kind and very helpful. During our stay we felt at home thanks to both the staff interactions and the beauty of the rooms. To our surprise, the hotel offers a small breakfast buffet with unique food choices and great coffee! We want to point out that from the plates and mugs to the whole hotel, Cava Doro tells a story, everything is in medieval style, which we love. There are little Easter eggs everywhere around the hotel that transport you back to medieval times and you lose the sense that you're in a hotel. We couldn't have been happier about our stay! The location was also exceptional, just 3-5 minutes from the old town of Rhodes. Looking forward to coming back!

But above all, the kindness and gentleness of the people who run Cava d'Or place this hotel a level above all the very many options one has in the Old Town. Lovely, lovely people working there. George the owner is fantastic, so helpful and lovely to chat to. Beautiful hotel, quite small, in a great location. Room was great, air conditioned and a nice bathroom. Nice outdoor area too.

Beautiful property in the Old Town steeped in history. Very cosy room with a very comfortable bed. Slept very well! The staff were kind and friendly and the breakfast (at an extra charge) was lovely.

Could not say enough good things about this hotel. The staff were amazing. The air conditioning broke in our room during our stay, and they provided us with a whole new room while it was fixed, and let us keep all our stuff in the original room. It was also fixed within 24 hours! The room itself was amazing, we hadn’t realised but our room came with a jacuzzi, which was a lovely surprise. The whole room was thoroughly cleaned every day, with new water in the fridge, etc. It is also in the perfect location, no noise but so close to the main street of the old town. I can’t wait to come back.

This stay was perfect. I travel very often and would have a high standard when it comes to the places I chose to stay. Cava d'Oro exceeded my expectations. The hosts are the most friendly people and are so helpful and kind. My room was lovely and comfortable. The location is perfect. I would highly recommemd staying here..trust me you wont be sorry.

We stayed at this place before and this time I booked it for my mother and sister. Location is perfect to explore old town of Rhodes and also very authentic. But most importantly, the hosts are so helpful and accommodating . They helped us book all the transfers , even on another island, they are always available for help. This will be our regular place in Rhodes for sure.

The owner George and his wife went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. They were so welcoming, helpful and full of great stories. The breakfast is a highlight but also the individual medieval-style rooms that were restored by George himself.

Nothing. All was fantastic and exceeded my expectations.

This was a last-minute reservation, and Cava d'Oro team responded swiftly and organized my airport transfer. Everything was perfect. From receiving me in the airport to welcoming me at the hotel and explaining the main ins and outs for exploring the old city. Breakfast is amazing. So authentic and delicious. The room is spotless clean and the location was perfect for exploring Rhodes on foot. The pick up point for excursions was 2 minutes away from the hotel. I would definitely book it again if I am in Rhodes.

This small hotel is extremely well located, only a couple of minutes walk from the main old town centre and harbour but still far enough away for a peaceful sleep. The rooms are beautiful, clean, air conditioned (with a quiet, sleep mode) and the beds are super comfy; decorated to reflect the medieval architecture. We also had a balcony overlooking the street, with ample space for us both to sit out. The shower is modern with great water pressure and nice toiletries. The room was cleaned and towels changed, daily. Delicious continental style breakfast, served in a courtyard incorporating the medieval wall, including freshly squeezed orange juice, espresso coffee, tea, eggs, cheese, bread, various pastries and homemade jams and marmalades. The hosts were wonderful. When we go back to Rhodes we will stay there again!

Great Location, very quiet but central too. A short distance to shops, restaurants and onward journeys via ferry/catamaran. Giorgos is a very helpful and friendly host. This was not our first stay and I'm sure it won't be the last.

We had one of the smallest rooms, which was a little cramped for my 6'3" husband because of the curved stone wall on one side. I'd go for a larger one next time.

The Cava D'Oro is a totally charming, highly picturesque boutique hotel, and we had a delightful stay there. The proprietors are super-helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. (We were able to check in early, and they made all our transportation arrangements.) The location is fantastic--it's on a quiet street only a short walk away from the harbor, all the major tourist destinations, and the vibrant shop-lined streets at the center of Old Town. (It's also easy to access by taxi--which can't enter Old Town--since it's very close to two of the town gates.) What makes the hotel so special is its "medieval" atmosphere--it's in a building that abutts the town wall and dates to the 12th century, and the rough-hewn stone walls and evocative decor makes you feel like you've stepped back into Crusader times. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and there was plenty of courtyard space and a small balcony where you could sit outside. It was a memorable visit and we really loved staying here!
