Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AlbaniaThere were not enough kitchen utensils and there was a damp smell.
I liked the fact that there was parking for the car we rented. Since parking is a problem in Santorini, this property met our expectations in that regard. It was fresh, clean, spacious, quiet, and had a yard.

United KingdomTo access the local town of Fira ,it is a 23 min up hill walk as public transportation is not available to this property Taxis are very expensive , eg a 7 min drive can cost 30 euros so a car/ scooter / quad rental would be best to access the island . There are no facilities to cook or heat up any food and food and drinks need to be ordered from a local bakery . Neighbours were very noisy, into 10 pm at night and traffic noises started from early in the morning as a motor bike repair shop is nearby .
Very clean and comfortable property .An adventurous accommodation in that it Is a traditional ,authentic “cave” in the locality with good attention to detail and facilities Hostess was very helpful with any problems or queries . She also left a starter breakfast pack , homemade wine and a thoughtful gift which was much appreciated .

GreeceNot a problem for me, but be advised that the road is a little narrow so care is required if you find opposite traffic. Doable to go to Fira on foot, but better only get here with a car rental or other means. No shops available around. The parking space is very limited for 2 cars, so you may need to park a little up the road.
The room is exceptional. An original cave house, amazingly renovated, furnished with beautiful wooden retro furniture and decorated with original antique items (all reminding me the similar I used to see in my grandparents' house), it will offer a unique experience, a true immersion into the past*. Everything felt perfect to the eye and to the touch. Every detail is so well looked after (even the bin is a beautiful straw basket!). A beautiful artwork by the owner (who is apparently an artist). * Of course, while enjoying all the modern luxuries. The room is equipped with espresso coffee maker, a toaster, a small fridge with strong freezer, and TV with Netflix! The room is also very spacious, more than it looks in the photos (like, you-can-play-football type of spacious). King-size bed, king-size "sofa", large closet, amazing bathroom, enormous shower with rainfall shower head. My concerns before arriving, all negated: - lighting: the small single window was eventually fairly adequate, while the room is well-lit (except for the bathroom, which could use some extra light). - air quality: we had no issue and there is a dehumidifier available. - room temperature: very pleasant / not cold during our stay (end of April). Oh, and all this offered at a fairly low / reasonable price. It will certainly feel very satisfying getting a great value for money, when everything else on the island feels ridiculously overpriced. PS: Do not miss the opportunity for a short walk around to see this amazing (from a cultural perspective) settlement, consisting of a series of cave-structures in various conditions, from luxury renovations to uninhabited open caves.

SwedenLocation-wise, a car is recommended for the best experience. It’s only a five-minute drive from Fira. It’s also walkable, but you’ll need about 25 minutes and should be prepared for a hilly journey. There are no restaurants or shops nearby, so you’ll need to head to Fira for those. The neighbors were super friendly, but keep in mind it’s a narrow street, and parking can be a bit tight. Renting a smaller car is highly recommended. There’s no microwave or oven, but a fridge, kettle, and grill are provided, making light cooking possible.
Charming and spacious “cave” apartment with beautiful interior design. Everything was spotless, and the amenities included thoughtful extras like coffee, a hair dryer, a smart TV, and even a speaker. Self-check-in was simple, and although the place technically doesn’t have an address on Google, it was easy to find. Just a few minutes from the airport, with convenient parking right outside the door. The host was absolutely amazing ❤️✨—made us feel incredibly welcome and was always ready to assist to enhance our stay. I could go on and on about this place, but I’ll leave it at this: HIGHLY recommended! ⭐️

United KingdomIf you don't have transport it's a bit of an uphill walk to Thira. (Local car hire, however is quite cheap).....
Very interesting & individual accommodation, also very reasonably priced - highly recommended.

United KingdomYou definitely need a car or transport as the location is a bit too far if not and it is up a hill to get into Fira, although it isn’t too far a walk.
It was very cute and well presented. The owners were fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful.
