Breakfast: the quality was excellent, but the choice was too rich for our palate. Would have liked a wider choice of breakfast food to include simple things eg granola, fruit and yogurt, or toast with bananas and peanut butter etc. A few practical things about the room: we couldn’t find out how to work the jacuzzi, and when we used the shower, it overflowed and the whole bathroom floor was very wet.

A beautiful room with a stunning view. There was plenty of space, and yet every need was catered for eg fridge, cutlery, plates and so on. Great attention to detail. The double glazing worked really well, ie no sound from the restaurants at all with the air con on.

It is a renaissance building so only stairs.

It was a very filling breakfast as you could choose from an a la carte menu plus the extra bread, drinks and dessert they add to your main brunch time meal. I can see why they serve the “breakfast” a bit later than your standard 7-10am because you could probably skip lunch if you have a long road trip to follow.

The bathroom was amazing with a gorgeous bath, as I prefer a shower without a curtain the water splashes the sink and floor. It was not a huge problem. I just felt guilty using an additional towel to clean up the water. Being in a heritage listed building, there are stairs to the room and 4 stairs up to the bedroom, but it is worth it.

Amazing location in the Old Town. Each room was individually decorated and named after a famous female. Our room had a gorgeous Venetian fireplace, and the widows opened to a courtyard view. The room was spacious with a small table and chairs in the foyer, with tea coffee facilities and a welcome bottle of wine, and a spacious bathroom with a huge bathtub. A very comfortable bed and AC. Close to everything and lovely breakfast in the restaurant downstairs.

The water from shower would flood the bathroom floor. Due to the building being an old one, there are no lifts. This is mainly a heads up rather than a negative comment. Our room was only a few stairs up and we didn’t have much difficulty carrying our luggage

The customer service and location was great. Elena from the front desk contacted us prior to our arrival and helped us have a smooth and easy check in process. She also helped us book car and explore the beautiful Crete. The location is amazing. There are numerous restaurants just at the door and despite being in a bush and lively area, the rooms were quiet.

The location and view were extraordinary- directly looking into the harbor. The room was beautiful and architecturally interesting. Management was extremely friendly and the restaurant they own in front of the hotel weee spectacular. We are veterans of NYC restaurant scene and their rock shrimp carpaccio was the best we’ve ever had. Creative menu - it was truly delicious and world class. Awesome place!

Perfect location on the harbor! Incredible views! Room is gorgeous and like something out of a movie - it was a highlight of the trip! There is an attached restaurant downstairs serving delicious food, and many other restaurants, bars and shops along the harbor. Very friendly and helpful staff and run by a lovely family. If they have availability, you MUST stay here :-D

It was a lovely spot right on the water front so I could just step outside and explore Chania Old town very comfortably. It’s a small hotel so the service was great and very personal. The staff were helpful and flexible. Lovely characterful hotel.

The AC doesn’t travel through the whole room unfortunately. Also, if you rent a car, the parking is horrible. Nothing to do with hotel and more of the location.

The inner room is really beautiful but the windows/curtains to the patio need to be closed as that is the access for another hotel. It is a pity there is no access to the courtyard. Understandable but a pity. On the other hand, it is very quiet.

The breakfast in the terrace is very good, the room is very big and impressively well restored giving value to the old venetian architecture. The bathroom is impressive
