I probably would have struggled with a longer stay here because of the steps - I'm an old lady with a bad back but perfect for a younger and fitter person who really wants exceptional views.

This was a very last minute booking - I'd just booked my flights 2 days before and needed an overnight stay on Santorini. I didn't quite know where Pyrgos Kalistis was but the rooms looked nice and had good reviews. Just before I arrived my host sent me a photograph of the steps and how to access the room. There were a lot of steps which worried me as an old lady travelling on my own. However, Charis told me not to worry as he'd help me with my case. When I arrived my taxi driver kindly phone Charis to let him know I was here and thankfully carried my bags for me. There are a lot of steps up to the room but believe me - it is worth it when you see the view. The rooms was great - a traditional cave house which is cool even without air con. The room had one of those fancy showers that sprays water in all directions! Pyrgos I discovered is a traditional village and the highest on Santorini. I wish I'd had longer to explore it further. Although my stay was brief I would definitely like to stay here again - a breath of fresh air compared to the craziness of Fira. Charis's partner Vicky kindly arranged a transfer to the port for me - a very lovely and helpful young couple!

The shower looks amazing however the shower column is situated in the wrong place in the shower unit so there is too much water for the overflow and the floor gets wet. There is a wardrobe however the bottom 2 drawers are un-usable due to the fact that it's up against the wall. There are approximately 100 steps up to the apartment which I didn't realise when I booked - however you can avoid them by walking up through the village

Location was good, 5 minutes walk to the main street with bars & restaurants for breakfast etc and 5 minutes walk through the village to Penelope's restaurant and the upper part of Pyrgos village. The apartment was lovely, very modern, nice decor and bedlinen, lovely soft towels. Nice spacious terrace with views to the eastern side of the island and a washing line - with pegs! - which came in useful! It was also very quiet. Harry the owner picked us up from the airport and also carried our suitcases up all the steps! He was also very helpful in booking a restaurant for us and speaks excellent English.

Just missed to advise there are a lot of stairs to get to the property, but Harry was very kind and helped with my lugagge.

It is close to Pyrgos old town. Good bed, and the shower was very good too.

The drain of the shower would get blocked after 2 or 3 days of daily use by 3 people. This was an inconvenience as water would collect on the bathroom floor, however we appreciated that Harry would unblock it whenever we would notify him of this.

Harry was so helpful throughout our stay and so friendly. The beds were very comfortable, shower is high tech , air-conditioning was very responsive and had no problem keeping the room at a cool 16°C (which was very much needed for us!). Beautiful views of the east of the island from the balcony. About a 5 minute walk on cobble footpaths to get to the centre of Pyrgos. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned every day which was always appreciated.

Staff entering my villa and sending me pictures of my belongings.

Very basic and wasn't prepared. The room is authentic with lovely view and balcony. The amenities were a fridge and kettle but no glasses, no jugs, no tea/coffee. The owner did manage to get me 2 mugs but didn't have a spoon. No shampoo or soap. We had unpacked our bags onto the two single beds ( we had a double). We had alot of stuff and part way through putting them away. Went out for a stroll and I was just enjoying lunch when I received a text from the owner......with photos of our belongings on the bed!! We hadn't asked for housekeeping g so breach of privacy. Not to mention the rude correspondence. We upped and left that same day. Got a refund.

You have to walk up the steps to get there, but the whole city is made up of steps and that's fine.

This wonderful apartment is located in the center of the ancient town of Pyrgos, with a balcony offering breathtaking views of the sea and the city to the right of Pyrgos. Silence and tranquility! Something not real!

The bed mattress was slightly hard for me personally.

The property location was excellent, with an incredible view. The studio was beautiful clean and stylish decor and the shower was very powerful. Harry was very friendly, kind and extremely helpful, he picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the port which was excellent. Great stay!

It’s not about the property, but the public transportation from the ferry port to Pygros is REALLY limited. And you might need to take a shuttle or a taxi most of the time to come to the town where the property is located(once you get to the town, it’s easy to walk to the property), so if you are a traveler who prefers using public transportation, keep this in your mind :)

Walking in the town to the property was even really fun as the location is great! And the view from the terrace was amazing. Facilities were excellent too!

Less attention to detail as there was no toilet paper or hand soap when we arrived. Stains on the bedsheet.

Location was central in Pyrgos, and the host was really helpful when booking transfers to the Port.
