How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The apartment was in a prime location close to restaurants and shops. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but met our needs. We had a patio that was private and very nice. There were tasty homemade cookies in our room when we arrived. We were on an upper floor and we used the stairs--I do not know if there is an elevator. The host was wonderful--very kind and helpful with recommendations. She provided us with lemonade when we returned from a walk around town. They allowed us to keep our luggage there after we checked out. There is no parking on-site, but we had no problem finding parking at the port, which is where they recommended. It was only a 5-7 minute walk away.

There were a lot of steep steps to carry big luggage up.
The location was perfect and the staff was amazing.

Nothing at all
The ladies that run this hotel are the true asset. Warm, pure and helpful. You feel right af home! The rooms are also very comfortable, with nice beds and sufficient space for all the things you need in a room. I had the room with a front balcony. Very nice to enjoy the street life in morning and evening as it is very centrally located. The windows isolate very well, because once closed it is nicely silent. Big recommendation!!

We had an awesome stay! The lady is extremely nice, makes you feel incredibly welcome and helps you whenever you need anything. The location of the Hotel is perfect - directly in the center of Nafplio with everything in walking distance (also great free parkings in the harbour), but in a quiet street. It is quite small and personal and the rooms are clean and modern. I would definitely recommend Danae Hotel!

Danae hotel is ideally located in the heart of Nafplio's charming old town, with easy access to all the city's attractions. Although parking was easy and nearby, we did not need the car during our stay as everything was within walking distance. The hotel has a tasteful simplicity and relaxing luxury, super comfortable beds, spacious rooms and bathrooms. It was truly a pleasure to meet the hotel's owners, who were always present and attentive. Their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel at home.

A perfect "boutique hotel" right in the centre of old town (great location and absolutely no problems with noise). Clean, modern, simple and stylish. Anna and her mother make you feel at home right away. I would have loved to stay longer, but there is just so much to see in the area... Anna speaks perfect English and went out of her way to get me loads of extra information when I had a question- THANK YOU!

The only 2 small things are the WiFi, typically to Greece it's kind of lazy, and the hot water stream at the sower is also a bit lazy, but that didn't bother us really.
The hotel is well located at the center of the old city. The atmosphere in and around the hotel is relaxing. The rooms are very nicely designed, they are comfortable and welcoming. The balcony is just on top of the old city street, yet inside the room there are no street sounds once the windows are closed. We'd definitely come back to Danae hotel with its lovely hostess.

There were no issues at all with the property; it was perfect!
Our room was quirky but absolutely beautiful! The whole property is lovingly restored but true to its history. Our hosts were warm, polite and ready to offer advice and tips for our holiday in beautiful Nafplio. This was my third time in Nafplio but definitely the best hotel I’ve stayed. I would definitely recommend it!

Unique, and thoughtful. Loved all the little details. The room was lovely and spotless. Right in the centre of the old town. The hosts were so sweet. Always there to check in and very helpful. I’d definitely go back. What a great spot. Great vibe. Loved it!

Navigating the spiral staircase in the middle of the night to use the bathroom might be difficult for some but it was fine for us.

Anna and her mother , Chara, have been really friendly . We felt like home with them . They have welcomed us with fresh home made cold lemonade and they even baked traditional feta pie for us in the weekend. The room is very well designed , the bed is comfy and they provide branded natural products for body and hair care ( korres )
