The bathroom is super small. Not very comfortable to take a shower…

The location is central, with a beautiful view of the harbour. The moment we stepped out of the ferry, we entered the hotel, 2 metres from the entrance. Mr Giorgos is extremely friendly, always checking in on us making sure we are alright. They also offer beach towels for free.

Not convenient to elderly visitors, no assistance with luggage, had to climb stairs and no other option or facility like lifts. Sink is in the bedroom not in bathroom!! Can be noisy if given a room overlooking the port.

My stay could have been longer. The frenetic morning bells from the clock tower could have been shorter.

Georgios our host was always practical, helpful and kind. There’s a rather daunting flight of steps at the entrance and he was happy to summon his son to assist with luggage, up and down. The view across the port from the balcony room was wonderful; always something fascinating coming or going. Staying there, you felt like part of the fabric of the port.

Facilities need UPDATING - Bath rooms in some rooms very dated for Rates Paid. Small improvements would upgrade their product. !!

Climbing the steps. But for younger people is not a problem. In Hydra everywhere is built with steps because of the structures.

No breakfast, but coffee, orange juice, bottled water and some snacks are free in the lounge room on the second floor. Where people can hang out and watch the world goes by around the Hydra port. The owner George was very friendly and help us carry the luggage to our room. He is always around to help.

Unfortunately our bathroom was a bit small and next time I'd look for a bigger room.

For such a short stay, the hotel was fine. George is great. Upstairs coffee on the balcony was lovely. It is situated right near where the boat docks so was perfect for us . The Hotel is old but that's what the whole island is and it's got the best views and convenience with many restaurants and shops right at your doorstep. It was great that there are no cars on the island, a detail of note.

Simple, very conveniently located, small, traditional hotel just off the ferry. Clean. Nice and accommodating owner. No elevators! Views from the room upon the most beautiful Hydra Harbour.

Be prepared for some stairs. Not too difficult, but you’ll have to carry your bags up.

Great location right on the harbour, near the ferry stop. Pretty terrace with amazing view over the port and town. Compact, tidy room..and make sure you book one at the front with a balcony.

The only thing was it was loud at night to get to sleep, however I just put some ear plugs in/ some relaxing music and I went straight to sleep! That’s the only reason for it not being a 10.

I LOVED my stay and the location was amazing!! I was staying there solo and it was super easy, just a few steps from where the boat dropped me off. The room was just what I needed, super comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows were also super comfortable! & a great working aircon. The management were amazing! The gentleman working gave me some great recommendations and was super friendly/ helpful!

The size of our double room was slightly small, and the shower is also a bit on the small side.

The host (George, I think) is a remarkable man. Professional, friendly, helpful and all that. In addition he has a warm, strong presence that makes you feel good. One of a kind. The hotel has a shared balcony facing the port. In the neighboring room, there is a lounge with a proper coffee machine. In the morning, the host put up fresh drip coffee in a pot, and a selection of water and various juices.

It was fine for me but there is a flight of stairs to the reception area so it is not ideal for those with walking difficulties so be aware. Facilities and room basic, but I just used the room for sleep and bathroom so didn't need for anything more! Would stay again for sure.

The location is incredible, straight off the ferry and a few steps in front of you to the left. The view on the shared terrace area is just like the photos. Picture perfect. Friendly staff, fridge, clean room, working aircon, everything you need for a base for your stay on Hydra.

The bathroom was a bit small but not a big deal.

The location was great, right by the harbour, my room overlooked it and it was beautiful to wake up to and see before bed. I enjoyed having the kitchen/cafe upstairs to make a quick frappe and enjoy my breakfast on the patio overlooking the harbour. I liked that it wasn’t renovated to look like every other generic hotel these days. It has personality and character. The owner was also very friendly.
