At the same time, we regret to read that some aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations. Normally, cleanliness is an area where we receive excellent feedback, so we are surprised by your comments and hope you reported them at reception so that our housekeeping team could immediately assist you. As for the design and furniture, our hotel is a neoclassical property intentionally styled to reflect the character and history of Zakynthos town. While this may not be to everyone’s taste, many of our guests appreciate the authentic atmosphere and the unique charm that comes with it. Regarding breakfast, we usually receive praise for the variety and quality of options offered, but we will carefully keep your comments in mind. As for the shutters, the island winds can sometimes cause noise, and while our team does its best to monitor such issues, we appreciate you pointing it out. We are sorry to read that your experience didn’t match your expectations, and we’d like to offer some clarification so future readers have the full picture. Your booking included 2 Comfort rooms and 2 Triple rooms. On the first night, you expressed dissatisfaction with the view from the Comfort rooms, which faced the back of the hotel. We immediately assured you we would work on a solution. The very next day, we changed the room you were most concerned about, and the day after, we upgraded the second Comfort room to a Premium Comfort room with a better view and extra amenities — at no cost to you. Regarding the smell in one of the Triple rooms, this was reported the day after your arrival and the room was changed immediately due to a maintenance issue. No further complaints about the replacement room were raised during the rest of your stay. In the second Triple room, you reported a leak from the air conditioning several days into your holiday. Once we were informed, our technician fixed it the very same day. On the topic of air conditioning — when the outside temperature is 35°C, setting the unit to 18°C isn’t going to make the room an icebox any faster. In fact, it will only overwork the system. A little common sense goes a long way — we always recommend keeping it 4–5°C below the outdoor temperature for the best results. As for the elevator, the “three days broken” was actually less than 24 hours, during which the staff elevator was fully operational for all floors. Finally, we can’t help but notice that after all these issues you mention, you still booked an additional two nights in the same rooms from August 2nd to August 4th. Just to clarify, the bus stop is actually located only 50 meters from the hotel, right in the main square of Solomos. From there, you can easily reach all the major resorts of Zakynthos without the need for a long walk to the bus station. As for our style, Diana Hotel is a neoclassical property situated in the historic center of the city. Its design is intentional, with many antique furnishings carefully chosen to match the cultural importance and history of our location. Not everything needs to be modern — we aim to preserve a sense of heritage and character that reflects the town itself. Regarding the bathroom size, being in the heart of the city means space is naturally more compact. However, every detail is thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort while maintaining the charm and elegance of our setting.
