Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayMy biggest issue was the bathroom, which seems to be a common theme in the reviews. Whilst I'm perfectly okay with a smaller bathroom, the shower really is uncomfortably small. It's hard to shower without getting stuck to the curtain or burning yourself on the tap, I ended up having to open the curtain whenever the water wasn't running just so I could move more freely. My shower also felt like it had some trouble draining, as I ended up having water up to my ankles after maybe 5 minutes of having the water running. I also didn't get refills for shower gel until my 5th day on a 7-day stay. Same thing with the hand soap, which I had to leave open so they could see it was empty (I unfortunately don't speak greek and the cleaning lady, as nice as she is, really struggled to understand english). Unfortunately there was also mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Now, I'm pretty certain I was one of the first guests of the season (late May), and Milos being an island and the hotel being so close to the sea, mold is perfectly understandable, but it should have been cleaned up before I arrived. All in all, the bathroom is really the biggest issue, but I also understand how incredibly expensive it is to renovate any space, but particularly hotel bathrooms. Though I believe it would be a really good investment.
The hotel is super close to the centre of town, which makes it really easy to get to from the ferry. It's also close to a lot of restaurants and stores, and there's a supermarket right in front of it. Walking distance from two small beaches. The room is nice and spacious, a bit outdated, but the sister hotel, Semiramis, looks a lot more modern, if that's what you're looking for. I enjoyed having a balcony with chairs and a table and a place to hang wet clothes after the beach. The room also has a small kitchen with anything you may need for quick meals: small fridge, tea kettle, hot plate, etc. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, both at check-in, breakfast, cleaning, and check-out. I was especially grateful for the free ride to the airport at the end of my stay. Lots of great recommendations for what to visit, where to eat, and what to do. Breakfast was simple but good, I felt particularly lucky as a solo traveller because I got nearly as much food as couples did. A small selection of tea (or coffee), juice, and milk. Greek yoghurt, honey, jams, butters, and chocolate spreads. A few slices of cake, bread, and a packed croissant to go. Fresh fried egg, prepared after you sit down. And on the last few days, there were even small croissants, too. The patio where you take breakfast is super cosy and comfortable, shaded under the trees, small tables, comfy chairs, and built-in sofas as well. Plenty of cute cats to keep you company too.

CanadaThe bathrooms were very, very small. The shower space was so small that the shower curtain stuck to your body when you tried to move. The shower faucet got so hot when you were taking a shower that it burned you if you accidentally touched it. Very little space to put your toiletries. The shower head was handheld and there was no where to hook it so you had to bathe one handed. Expensive, but that may just be the whole island.
Location was very good, short walk to ferryboats and car rental companies, with free public parking nearby. Good sized rooms, with good air conditioning. Cleaning was done daily.
