Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I would like to express my sincere thanks to The Duty manage miss Lena Patsani for her warm welcome, professionalism, and refined manner. She truly is the right person in the right place, and she was the main reason I chose to stay for the second year.

FranceOther hotels restaurants or event nights (Greek, or Mexican nights) are too pricey. Same for snacks (7e for a small ice cream at the beach not even homemade, 6e for water, 4.50 for an espresso !!) They should reduce price point to allow volumes to grow. Also there was nothing much to do in the evenings after meals (no theme shows, not much events, bar night is empty, nothing on the beach etc). For sports activities organisation is also sometimes a bit messy (cancellations last minute, now show, app doesn’t let you book in the evening before next day event, etc).
Location is great, facilities too. Cleanliness was also appreciated not only on the room but within the hotel. Beach and family pool were top notch and surroundings are reachable easily by cab for a dinner in town or a small walk in villages nearby (Plaka, Elounda, etc). The buffet from half board was also tasty as the breakfast.

United KingdomExceptional views and comfort. Scott Robinson who was the member of staff attending to the main pool next to the blend restaurant was fantastic and is an absolute credit to the hotel. Thank you Scott for all of your assistance. We also went for the tasting menu at the a la carte restaurant, again the food and service was absolutely phenomenal and was truly a night we will not forget, thank you!

IsraelI loved everything about the property. Not one bad word.
This was seriously one of the most beautiful and serene properties I’ve ever been to. Just gorgeous with a view of the sea from every angle. So so special. And a private beach to boot!

SwitzerlandThe private pools and main swimming pool are very cold. They should be heated a bit more to make them enjoyable during the colder months (October). We found that there was not frequent enough cleaning of the beach in terms of towels and food people leave behind. Some requests had to be repeated several times to staff but they always tried their hardest to meet our needs which we really appreciated.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, well kept and has amazing views. We liked the decor and size of our rooms, the grounds of the hotel, tennis court, outdoor gym, kids and teen club, and beach. The staff is very friendly and kind. Everyone goes out of their way to exceed expectations, with a special thanks to Sara from Haute Living and Chara from Blend. Kids loved the different activities such as movie night and the bubble show at Core.

JapanResort is clearly more geared towards family. Young-aged kids everywhere, so not as calm as we wished for. Room was an upgrade, but not as updated as I was expecting, could used a bit of a revamp. Bathroom was kind of vintage looking. Bit of lack of privacy in the outdoor patio by the room. Neighbors windows and balconies facing our "private" courtyard.
Really nice beach area, beautiful clean water, outstanding views from anywhere in the resort. Comfortable beds. Attentive and kind housekeeping staff. Great F&B, room service a bit expensive but plentiful. Really enjoyed showers and locker rooms available which can be used when checking-out late.

IsraelAbsolutely nothing
Quiet and luxurious resort. Although high season it felt spacious and quiet. We were upgraded to a villa which was exceptionally beautiful and comfortable. Took us some time to find our way around but buggy cars are always available. Customer service is of the highest quality. In contrast to previous reviews, food on the half board option was very good and varied. The private pool was the jewel in the crown and we enjoyed it day and night. Used our rental car to tour around and had great shopping in Agios Nikolaos and fun canyoning in Sarakinas gorge. I found the eastern part and coast of Crete much more to my liking. Definitely would come back and stay longer

IsraelIt would have been nice to have some kind of a sun bed or a chaise longue on the veranda. The restaurants were disappointing. Breakfast is nice but service is slow, we got the coffee, we asked for at the begging of the meal, by the time we've finished. There were no clean glasses or cups for long periods. We had dinner both at the Blend and in Makris. Makris was much better and yet way too expensive for what it offers. The best meal we had was in the restaurant on the beach- the food was great but the service the same as in all food section at the hotel.
The staff is friendly. The room was clean and beautiful. The beach is great although loud at times and not always very clean. The cleaning team, the drivers and the reception desk staff were great.

United KingdomNothing really. Some of the staff were new and struggled with English at times, but we always managed to find a way to communicate. And I appreciate in the current times, with the leisure / tourism industry getting hit so hard, it's a lot more challenging to find and hire good people. Apart from this small point, the rest was perfect.
Amazing location with various pools (one is huge!) and a lovely beach all within walking distance inside the resort. Tonnes of comfortable sun loungers and towels provided at all pools AND the beach. No need to hire anything. We found loungers every time and did't have to race out the door first thing to sort. Good staff, very friendly. All the facilities you would ever need like great gym, spa, tennis courts etc. Nice entertainment in the evenings with great restaurants, including an outside Street food concept which was really unique and excellent. Everything is very clean and well looked after. Also a very laid back and relaxing vibe, which is ideal, especially given how big the resort is. Although the resort is vast, there are plenty of golf buggies, with smiling / nice drivers, driving around to carry you wherever you wish. All in all a lovely place to visit and unwind.

CanadaA few things I think should be complimentary, like the boat ride to Spinalonga -$60 for a ride seems little far fetched. But I’m glad I still went. Other than this, it was a perfect stay.

United KingdomService was a bit slow around the resort - particularly in the main bar and several of the restaurants which seemed understaffed. The beach was also a bit dirty with old food and cigarette ends scattered over it - could do with raking and cleaning occasionally. Also found lots of broken glass on it one day but the hotel were attentive about resolving this. Most of the tables by the loungers at the beach were sticky and dirty too. Also didn't like the way that nowhere in the resort's restaurants or bars offered tap water and the cheapest option was bottled water at 5 euros a pop - this really starts adding up.
Fantastic location and beautiful resort. Easy to get around the resort on golf buggies and staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was really well designed and ergonomic with lots of facilities. Food in the restaurants was great too. The sea around the resort is beautiful and great for swimming.

SloveniaDefinitely the kids club. It is not "walk in anytime"; you have to be booked, and this bothered me and, of course, my child because you had the option of either 10 AM or 3 PM, that's it. Considering how much I travel and where I have been, this should be fixed because it is off-putting. So, we never went because "just then" my daughter might have fallen asleep, gone swimming, and she would, for example, come at 4 PM and not 3 PM.
We stayed in a Core apartment with a pool. Upon arrival, the children received toys, and the staff explained everything about the resort and were extremely helpful. The resort itself is very large and steep. If you stay, for example, near the reception, you can walk to the really beautiful sandy beach, which has two bars/restaurants (belonging to the hotel), super soft sand for children, and a really nice view of Spinalonga. If you are in the Core area, it is easier to walk to the pool, but the path to the house is steep. However, golf carts frequently drive around Elounda and are happy to give you a ride, but it can be quite time-consuming. The apartment was spacious and nice, and I liked the Naxos Apothecary cosmetics. Given the price range and my level of travel, there could have been a daily refill of the minibar for free, but you only get it the first time. Food: Since we were with children and had Haute Living, we ate at the buffet (part of the hotel). The food was average. The air conditioning was quite strong; even when we set it to 27°C, it was freezing. Fitness: The fitness area is outdoors. If you have Haute Living, there is also an indoor fitness area, but it is very small. I have no complaints about the resort itself and would come again The resort is so large that people are quite spread out. In the Core area, events only happen on Thursdays, which were really great and lively, but on all other days, it was closed, and there were no special activities.
