How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery well positioned in Pollonia town, very close to the beach, town center, restaurants and market. The building looks nice (on the outside). Good water pressure and hot also!
First of all - Red Flag 🚩This accommodation is False Advertising. We were given a room (nr.13) that had absolutely nothing to do with the presentation pictures on Booking when we chose and booked this place. The room in the pictures is probably one of the more nicer rooms (airy, full of light, nice furniture and design elements and attention to details). Our room unfortunately was totally different. Very basic, lacked all sorts of useful things (from kitchen cutlery to hand soap). The room was on ground floor, very very dark (almost no natural light got in). The TV was not working since the day we arrived (only 3-4 working channels and no international ones, also because of the poor reception signal the tv was resetting and closing itself every 10 minutes). Many of the elements in the room were dirty, broken or rusted (cooking stove was not electric and made of glass like in the pictures but an old type with rusty metal round plates. The toilet paper hanger in the bathroom also rusty and jiggly- not fixed properly on the wall. One of the glass shelves in the fridge was cracked and had sharp edges, a real hazard to cut yourself. The ceiling fan blades were full of nasty balck mold spores. The towels were only changed once in 4 days. Asked the cleaning staff to refill the hand soap (that was nearly empty when we got there) but they forgot so we had to buy one ourselves. The property is managed by Milos Accommodations - a third party agency that doesn’t seem to care about the guests. We wrote them a lot of mesaages on whatsapp asking for another room because this was NOT THE ROOM WE HAVE SEEN and booked, also told them everything that was not ok. No answer, no apologise, nothing. Frustrating and totally not professional. For the money we paid (almost 180 euro a night) we surely could have found a way cleaner and better option.

Verified reviewMore attention to cleanliness needed. Also there were little to no amenities. No coffee or tea, no extra towels etc. When you ask for an extra towel they say you will get towels replaced on the next cleaning day which us every other day. So you never get an extra towel. We never met the owner, the taxi driver had to show us where to go. In conclusion, the location is great but Efi Studios has low attention to detail and low customer care.

Verified reviewIf you want to stay in pollonia it’s a good location.
This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. One of our four rooms had no working AC and was completely unlivable in the heat. We spent almost two full days messaging the host — he read every message and chose not to respond. He only acknowledged us after my aunt called and argued with him in Greek. He also lied, saying the AC had been checked and offered written proof — but hours later, workers showed up to install a brand new unit and said it was their first time there. The rooms were dirty also: stained pillows, used towels, ants in the kitchen. We eventually got a refund for the uninhabitable room, but only after unnecessary stress and pressure. Avoid this place at all costs.

Verified reviewA very nice large room with space to spread out your suitcases. Nice kitchen with everything you would need however we did not cook anything. Bed was very comfortable and the room was pleasantly appointed. Bathroom was great with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Had a really nice patio that was very pleasant for having morning coffee. Location was excellent just a block away from the beach and a short walk to the center of town in Pollonia. There is a great little restaurant and Cafe just a block away. Lost everything about it!
Loved everything.

Verified reviewAmazing location close to the beach. The air con was great and the room was spacious.
Our room was not cleaned during our stay, despite asking twice to get fresh towels. The room was also quite dark. The hair dryer cut out several times during use.

Verified review- They let us check in 2 hours ahead of schedule - Pollonia is a very charming village, never too crowded - Beds were comfortable
- Our room (14) really is in desperate need of maintenance - Cleaning experience was bad - No beach towels

Verified reviewWe arrived at 6pm for the check in instructions to be wrong and the room having not been cleaned since the previous guests. We then proceeded to wait 45 minutes outside with the mosquitos and heat after a full day of travelling while the room was cleaned. There is no information regarding wifi, the water pressure was horrible. The air conditioner remote didn’t work, the fan itself was loud, there was endless mosquitos, the bed linen was thin and not fitted to the bed. The bathroom flooded from the drain outside of the shower. The worst place we stayed out of a 5 week holiday. Do not recommend.

Verified reviewIt’s in a good location, lots of parking and quite spacious.
It wasn’t the cleanest and everything was a bit dated. Also we didn’t get much sleep as you can hear everything from the other rooms.

Verified reviewGreat location and the new cleaning staff was great.
Unfortunately the room was a bit dirty when we checked in and there was only 1 towel per person and no hand soap. We asked for help with our taxi back to the ferry and they forgot so we were close to missing our ferry.

Verified reviewWe had booked the family room which was a nice studio room and had a well equipped mini kitchen. Beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. Pollonia was a great little town to stay in and had a nice quiet beach which was never crowded.
There’s a lot of construction and building happening around the area of the hotel - mostly building new hotels. As such the view from our terrace wasnt great and we felt we were staying in a mini tourist residency area. The bathroom was a bit damp and dirty, also the shower drain had hairs in them that wasn’t ours.

Verified reviewLocation excellent. Clean. Shower was good.
The double bed was the most uncomfortable bed we had ever stayed in. The apartment was advertised as having air con. It wasn’t working and when we asked via WhatsApp why got no reply. (There was a fan). Basics were missing like a corkscrew. We asked for one and were told that there were none. Our apartment was dark with no terrace or balcony of its own. Nothing like the pictures. The location saved it but there are so many options in Pollonia that this one doesn’t compete.

Verified reviewThe location, the tranquility.
Our rooms had nothing to do with the bright and sunny pictures displayed on Booking. They were rather darkish, the cleaning was approximate, tv did not function, (but we did not use it so no problem for us), the kitchenette had the slightest minimum in cuttlery, there’s a Nespresso machine but no capsules, no salt, sugar etc… you have to buy everything if you intend to cook…and nothing was blue !🤣
